Spring beckons! Shake off the winter blues and give way to Spring 2016‘s beautiful makeup releases!
As much as I love my dark lips and smokey eyes, I’m beyond ready to start splashing color on my face for spring. In fact, I’ve already started bringing out my favorite spring tones to fool myself into think the season is already upon us, despite the snow in our forecast. Oh brother!
Looking Ahead to Spring Makeup
For Spring 2016 makeup, color and glow is the name of the game. YSL in particular has some stunning products on the way, including a new luminous foundation and stunning cheek compacts. Zac Posen is partnering with MAC on a stunning collection, that features three killer lipsticks, a stunning eyeshadow palette and even a bronze/blush duo. When it comes to MAC collections, it’s probably the best one they’ve had in a while…making me fall once again in love with MAC and their commitment to keeping the bar high.
As if you don’t already know, Gwen Stefani has also teamed up Urban Decay, releasing a full collection of lipsticks, a stunning eyeshadow palette and a covet-able blush palette. Gwen’s quite the beauty maven and is the perfect muse for creating stunning products that once again put UD in the forefront.
I’m also really in love with Chanel‘s Spring 2016 makeup offerings, with their intense cream eyeshadow and a beautifully bold and unconventional eyeshadow quad. It breaks tradition of pinks and purples, ushering in a new color palette for the season with emerald green and a rich blue.

I dare say, more than two or three of these beautiful Spring 2016 makeup releases have caught my eye. The ribbon blush from Chanel is exquisite and looks like one of those collector’s items that would find a happy home in any makeup collection. Estee Lauder‘s Bronze Goddess illuminator also looks appealing for the balmy days of summer ahead. Why not have a sunkissed glow, even while perched behind your desk indoors with blasting AC? 😉
It’s always a beautiful thing when winter gives way to spring, ushering color and light back into our lives! Next weekend is daylight’s savings time, meaning our evenings will be filled with sunshine instead of gloomy dark skies. It’s such a small thing, that makes a HUGE difference! I love being able to come home from work and enjoy time outside before sunset. It seems like a gift, really.
Let me know what you are most looking forward to for spring and if you’d like to see any spring makeup posts pop up here on Dream in Lace. Your wish is my command!
