Your everyday black and white polka dot dress styled 5 ways. From sporty to boho chic!
*New series alert* I think it’s an important thing to be able to rock the same piece in multiple looks, so here’s to the start of my “Styled 5 Ways” series. Which, obviously, will take one piece and style it…wait for it…five ways.
People that know me know that pants aren’t my favorite thing in the world. Nope, I much prefer a dress or a skirt. While perusing the ‘dresses’ section of Nordstrom, I came across this darling white and black polka dot dress that just screamed buy me. It’s a classic piece that can carry you through the seasons, year after year. It also is darn well versatile and can be worn in a multitude of ways. You can elegantly wear it on its own. Or, you can style it with jackets and sweaters to take it to a whole different level.
Let’s meet the polka dot dress in question, shall we?
With sundress season soon upon us, I’m excited about basic dresses looks like this one. They’re so comfortable, yet chic…and really pull together well. I think this black and white polka dot dress will look fabulous in the summer with a nice tan and a fedora. You can wear it around town running errands on a Saturday or you can dress it up for a nice night out. You can even wear this to the office if you like, and out for drinks with friends afterwards. Happy hour!
Basically, this polka dot sundress is the perfect piece to start building your capsule wardrobe for summer. To style the dress 5 ways, I had some fun hopping around the internet and pulled together 5 looks that I think will suit whatever mood you’re in. Sometimes, you discover a new way to wear something that makes the item feel altogether new. Win, win…right?
Do you have a favorite from the above looks? Let me know! I’m torn between the colorful look with that killer Anthropologie jacket and the sporty look with the Lacoste graphic tee and Michael Kors tote. The colorful look is one I’d really love to wear to work but that sporty look is perfect for a Saturday of errands and shopping.
I’m looking forward to creating more posts for this ‘Styled 5 Ways’ series. It’s definitely a fun way to see what new items are out there and put together different looks. If you have suggestions for other types of items you’d like to see me style, throw them at me!
As always, thank you for reading and I hope you have a fantastic week!
