Let’s take a stunning, detailed trip inside of the atelier and the making of Ralph & Russo‘s Spring 2016 haute couture collection. (Warning: Extreme Beauty Ahead!)
When I think of modern fairy tales, Ralph & Russo come to mind.
No doubt, the world famous atelier is a favorite when couture week hits Paris and the Spring 2016 couture collection is positively exquisite. For their latest couture pieces, Ralph & Russo created waves, wings, petals and crystal dewdrops that transformed the French runways into a springtime extravaganza. Swoon, swoon.
Today, I’m very excited to share you with a behind-the-scenes look into the atelier as Ralph & Russo use expert craftsmanship and a love of detail to create their spring masterpieces.
In a world where everything seems uniform and made for the masses, the level of care and technique that go into building a piece for Ralph & Russo is really exceptional. The London-based house became a fixture at haute couture week in 2007, and since have continued to excel with a wide range of high profile clients, ranging from princesses to Beyonce and Angelina Jolie. You know, no big deal.
I’m honestly completely blown away by the attention that went into producing this collection. When fast-fashion retailers are cranking out clothes in exorbitant amounts and the consumer can directly “shop the runway” these days, it truly does seem like stepping back in time to revisit a lost art form.
As if you weren’t already blown away by the beauty of the collection, I did pull some of my favorite looks. Standouts are the hand-painted floral gowns, the ruffled organza and of course that stunning statement wedding gown finale. Fashion absolutely in its finest form:
