Stephane Rolland is not afraid to go big, and his Spring 2016 couture collection is certainly no exception.
It took no more than one glimpse at Stephane Rolland‘s Spring 2016 couture collection before I fell deeply in love. Pulling inspiration from Paris’s iconic Garnier opera house, mastermind Rolland paid tribute to the traditions of haute couture with a collection that celebrates lyrical sensuality. The end result? Simply exquisite. Period.
Let’s review, shall we:

Gorgeous, right?
I’ve got a few things I want to gush about. First? The necklines. Because who doesn’t love a good bow and Stephane Rolland’s crystallized and satin bow ties shoot straight to my heart. Stunning. Chic. Perfection. They feel fresh and timeless at the same time.
Next? The nod to menswear as evening wear trend in look 6: a crisp white jumpsuit trailed by chiffon. If I had to pick one standout look from the collection, this one takes the cake. Exposed back with sparkling mesh? Yes! Dramatic silhouette from the front? Double yes. I’m keeping my fingers crossed this one gets a major red carpet moment this year. Perhaps at Cannes? Who knows. Style gods, make it happen!
And thirdly, pleats. I’m admittedly a sucker for pleats and Stephane Rolland has absolutely found the winning formula. The bigger the better.
And the award for excellence in couture goes to…
Huge props to Stephane Rolland for continuing to excel at couture week in Paris. This man gets it! He really, really does. Reinventing the classics again and again, will do it every time. I highly suggest visiting Rolland’s website here, where you can see the full Spring 2016 collection at work and take notes on looks you hope find their way onto the red carpet. I’m ready!
