Before I pull the plug on Paris Fashion Week and Fashion Month as a whole, I had to take a minute to just gush about Andrew Gn‘s vastly underrated Spring/Summer 2016 Collection.
If awards were to be given out at the end of Fashion Month, Andrew Gn would be collecting plenty for his gorgeous Spring/Summer 2016 collection shown in Paris. Inspired by seaside holidays in the sun and the delicacies of Chinese imperial porcelain bowls, Gn’s Spring collection brought pure joy to the runway.
Gn shares that the collection was divided into two sections, with the first half featuring a black, blue and white palette and a geometric design he defines as ‘primitive’. From there, the show moves into a wash of color with intricate floral prints, that are blended and mixed with perfection. The closing look of the show is probably, my favorite day-time look of the entire Spring 2016 season…I kid you not. (Yes, I know that’s a very lofty statement. Yes, I absolutely stand by it!)
In a nutshell, I’m smitten with Andrew Gn’s blend of color and shape…and it makes me feel a pinch of regret as the world outside my window is fading into the dark, grey days of winter. Perhaps I’ll have to live vicariously through the runway as I shiver my bum off this January, because these clothes truly are a vacation for the eyes!
It’s a damn good collection, isn’t it? Take that Karl Lagerfeld 😉
Thank you *you little cutie* for reading this and please, by all means – share what you think about this collection. Is it as delightful for you as it is for me? I hope so!
But wait, there’s more! Browse the Fashion Week Directory for more SS16 coverage.
