Fall nails. They’re darker, sexier and sassier than the pastels of spring and summer. One of the many reasons to be glad the temperatures are growing colder is that we can now dress our finger nails in deep purples, burgundies and greens. Last year, navy had its moments on our nails – and this season we welcome dark greens and teals. I’ve narrowed it down to 3 must-have shades that we all need on our nails this season!
Essie, oh Essie – we have such a love/hate relationship. Essie polishes either chip immediately on me or last a good while. There’s no normal in-between. Fortunately, this formula is of the stays-put variety. But honestly, the color is so great I would probably make do having to touch it up all the time. Love!
OPI, my favorite nail polish formula, still…and my favorite color rolled into one? Sold! Purple is great no matter what variation, but I especially love a good dark purple for fall. This isn’t as dark as say Lincoln Park After Dark, but it’s definitely dramatic. Just remember, with dark polishes like this it’s best to trim/file your nails down. Things look a bit gothic and gaudy when you have daggers for nails.

I have had this in the wings waiting to bring out, and as soon as I put this on it was love. I have this on both my nails and toes as I write this right now, and that’s saying something of a deep love! Because, I never do that. I really never do that.
What nail polish do you love for Fall 2014?

The essie polish looks gorgeous, I was put off as it was so thin but I need to stop being lazy and layer the coats on xxx

Really! That’s interesting bc that one in particular I only put one coat on. It’s surprisingly thicker than other Essie ones. I wish you lived here so we could swap polishes! xoxo
