Nothing screams fall, like a new burgundy red lipstick. Enter Chanel‘s Coco Rouge Lipstick in the shade Etienne with matching eyeshadow and a rumored to be AMAZING foundation. What more could a girl need?
My lipstick routine has been seriously changing over the past couple weeks as I’ve shelved the shines and summery pinks, in favor of matte reds and deep plums. My favorite YSL Rouge Volupte in ‘Forbidden Burgundy’ (pictured here) has found itself living in my handbag, on constant rotation – and it reminded me the value of a truly moisturizing dark lipstick. Yes, my MAC mattes are glorious– but there’s nothing like something smooth and buttery atop your lips to make you feel extra special.
And, Nordstrom kindly introduced me to Coco Rouge Etienne as the perfect lipstick for fall. It’s a deep red, and packs a lot of moisture for the dry, chilly days ahead. I look forward to getting A LOT of wear out of these in the coming season.
Chanel’s Vitalumiere Aqua foundation has long been on my “must try” list after seeing it pop up on “Best Foundation” lists, everywhere. When trusted beauty mavens like Tati of Glam Life Guru tell me it’s a top notch foundation, I’m a believer. Nordstrom color matched me to the shade ’20 Beige’ and I look forward to reporting back with my thoughts!
Of course, it wouldn’t be fall without an autumnal eyeshadow acquisition. Chanel’s Fall 2015 eyeshadow release featured electric blues, perfect for a dramatic night-out look…but perhaps a bit much for day-to-day wear. I selected this stunning ‘Tisse Camelia’ eyeshadow quad that will be able to perfectly craft a beauty look to fit my new lipstick, as well as compliment other favorites in my collection. Until now, the only Chanel in my collection has been a gorgeous eyeshadow palette, that introduced me to the softness of Chanel’s eyeshadow formula. It’s not as dramatically pigmented as say, YSL’s counterpart, but it builds beautifully and is flattering, never harsh.
Stay tuned for an update, because I really want to put together a makeup look using these products for you guys! Now that we’re all properly introduced to these beauties, I think we can start letting them work a little autumn magic. And let me know, what is your favorite fall lipstick? Please, share! I may just need to get it 😉
Thanks so much for reading and have a fabulous week!
