Inspired by the royal jewels, history and architecture of Prague – the Pamella Roland Fall 2018 collection is a sartorial feast for the eyes, complete with ballgowns aplenty.
Always a highlight of New York Fashion Week for me is Pamella Roland. The timeless elegance she brings to NYFW seems like a fading trend and it’s always such a pleasure to take in the show in person.
For the Pamella Roland Fall 2018 collection, the show returned again to the Chelsea Piers – which is probably my favorite venue of all the routine fashion week spots with its plush couches for resting your tired feet and handsome cocktail waiters passing out chilled glasses of Rose. Yes, I’m always glad to make a reappearance at Pier 59 Studios but especially when Pamella Roland is on the main stage.
Royal Tones: Pamella Roland Fall 2018
For the Pamella Roland Fall 2018 runway, the stakes were raised. Everything I LOVED about last fall’s collection (here) was amplified. More sparkle. More floating silhouettes. More dancing, beaded fringe and decadent embroidery. This season, Pamella drew inspiration from a recent trip to Prague and designed a stunning collection with luxe royal jewel tones in mind.
And yet, with all the glitz Pamella Roland Fall 2018 brought to the runway – there were also more dialed back looks. Solid crepe dresses and power suits that proved you don’t need lush embellishment to make a statement. There’s even a heavenly camel cashmere overcoat worn over a matching cashmere sheath dress that is such a power look, I dare say you could literally take over the world upon wearing it.
Decadent Evening Wear
When it comes to gowns, the Pamella Roland Fall 2018 collection certainly has a lot to offer. Black satin. Sequins. Metallic floral embroidery. Pearl necklines. Silver feathers. Baroque motifs. 3D ruffle organza. And, sweeping taffeta. Just some of luxe detailing that brings such a royal Prague-inspired collection to life.
At a time when the New York Fashion Week runways are inundated with sportswear, Pamella Roland continues to excel at regal elegance. To put it lightly, her ballgown game is strong and the Fall 2018 collection features more than a few that will have you salivating and begging for an invite to the Royal wedding.
Wow. The detailing on this metallic embroidered baroque gown. Wow, wow!!
Global Fashion
The Pamella Roland Fall 2018 runway certainly was a brilliant kick-off to the latest round of New York Fashion Week. Season after season, Pamella draws inspiration from her travels around the globe and spins masterful collections that are truly fit for a princess. For the Resort collection? She took us to Monte Carlo. For Fall 2018? Historic Prague.
One can only hope Pamella Roland continues to gain stamps in her passport as her international travels truly turn their way into magic on the runway. Where will she take us next?
Definitely take a well deserved minute to visit Pamella Roland’s website where you can indulge yourself in the full Fall 2018 collection and masterpieces from earlier collections. Prepare to be dazzled! (Literally.)
Thank you so much to Purple PR and Pamella Roland for extending an invitation to the beautiful show and sharing this gorgeous runway images, by Dan Lecca.
