NYFW Update: No way could I avoid a gush-fest over Altuzarra‘s Fall/Winter 2016 Collection! *swoon*
I’m watching Taylor Swift belt out ‘Out of the Woods‘ on the Grammy’s right now, which seems very fitting for discussing Altuzarra‘s Fall/Winter 2016 Collection. A wise man once said, there are no mistakes…but only happy accidents. Everyone’s favorite pop star emoting about the woods while devouring a collection that fits the mood, straight down to the branch-lined eyes? Cosmic!
Onto the collection. Joseph Altuzarra is a genius, guys. There. I said it.
And I’m clearly not the only one who feels that way. No doubt, Altuzarra has swiftly risen to the top! Since his burst on the scene in 2008, Joseph’s very quickly become one of fashion’s top elite, with his must-see collections and MANY red carpet and fashion mag appearances. (Can we say Emma Stone at the 2015 Vanity Fair party? Yes, please!)
This week, he hit NYFW once again – before a star-studded crowd of Kate Bosworth and Emily Ratajkowski – to debut a stunning Fall 2016 collection.
And that he did, creating a collection that’s as beautiful as it is functional. Joseph wove together a mixtures of prints and textures. He designed flowing handkerchief dresses, geometric trousers, paisley pencil skirts and finale gowns with spectacular dreamlike sparkle. There’s a beautiful strength to the Altuzarra woman. She’s capable. She’s elegant. She’s savvy as hell.
Speaking of the Oscar’s I WILL be live-tweeting the madness, per usual. You can join in the fun and follow me on Twitter. This seems like the perfect segway to return to the Grammy’s. My annual red carpet review will be on the way very shortly, as well.
Thank you so much for reading! My fingers will be hard at work continuing NYFW coverage all week. Be sure to follow me on all my social media platforms. (Yes, I said all. I’m so obsessed that you’ll find me tweeting, Instagraming, Facebooking, pinning, snapping, and on Google+. Basically, I’m a fashion week mad woman. What can I say, I have my priorities in order. Duh!)
