In the fall, is there anything better than puckering up with a deep berry or red lipstick? Autumn lipsticks are like a cashmere scarf, never out of style and always pull your whole look together. Here are 5 Must-Have Fall Lipsticks to round out your collection!
Now that our feet are firmly planted in the fall season, it’s time we take a minute to talk about something really important: fall lips.
Oh yes, lipstick is a beauty must-have around the year, but as we ease into fall…nothing solidifies the new season like a deep berry or red lip. The glossy pinks and corals of summer are cast off to the back burner, and dreamy burgundy and oxblood take center stage. As we prepare our lips for a season of bold, beautiful color – I thought I’d take a minute to share with you the creme de la creme of my autumn lipstick collection.
Trust me, my fall lipstick collection is bursting at the seams – but there are 5 standouts that I simply cannot live without. In fact, these guys have earned a permanent place in the bottom of my Michael Kors bucket bag, guaranteeing a showstopping moment on my lips. They’re bold colors that make a statement, and are the ultimate accessory to one killer outfit.
Feast your eyes on the 5 fall lipsticks, no gal should be without!
Top 5 Fall Lipsticks (Left to Right)
Givenchy Le Rouge in 315 ‘Framboise Velours’ (here)
Chanel Rouge Coco Ulta-Hydrating Lipstick in 446 ‘Etienne’ (here)
Rimmel Kate Moss Collection 107 (here)
MAC Matte Lipstick in ‘Russian Red’ (here)
YSL Rouge Volupte in ‘Forbidden Burgundy’ (similar)
When narrowing down my top 5, I was excited to see a variety of texture and finishes. The bold and smoothy silk of Givenchy and YSL lipsticks is true luxury for you lips. With color so bold, and a finish so smooth – I find myself reaching for these two lipsticks when I want a very POW lips, with a pinch of hydration. They will carry you through a busy morning of meetings and spreadsheets, even through a cup or two of coffee.
Chanel‘s Ultra-Hydrating lipstick formula is also great for the autumn season. Dry lips will devour their rich, moisturizing color – that has a little bit more of a sheer finish, making it perfect for girls wanting to be bold – but ever so slightly refined.
And of course there’s matte. Autumn is the time of the year to embrace the matte lip, before the weather becomes frigid and dry in winter. MAC‘s matte lipsticks are a cult favorite of beauty mavens everywhere, and my favorite red of all is Russian Red, which is a deep red with blue undertones, that is ever so flattering for your complexion and smile. On a budget? Look no further than Rimmel‘s lasting finish Kate Moss lipsticks, which have a host of color options. My favorite? This deep berry meets red shade, 107. It’s a true staple in any fall lipstick collection. Got to have it!
