You know those mornings when you just can’t be bothered? Or, you punched ‘snooze’ 5+ times and suddenly need to pull yourself together in 5 minutes? Well, here’s my go-to purple eye makeup look that takes mere seconds, so you can be on your way – pronto!
Purple. It’s more than my favorite color, it’s my favorite quick eye makeup combination. This spring I discovered a super swift makeup look, that tricks people into thinking you put in some effort. What could be better than that? More time to scroll your Instagram feed or hit the snooze once more? Sold!
It boils down to two dreamboat products: Marc Jacobs’ Jazz(berry) Highliner Crayon and Givenchy’s Prune Taffeta’s Ombre Eyeshadow.
You simply use your pointer finger to smudge on some of Givenchy’s soft and supremely blendable Ombre eyeshadow. Afterwards? Swipe Marc Jacobs’ Jazz(berry) on your lower lash line, smudge slighty with your finger – and voila, you’re done!
Products Used:
Givenchy‘s Ombre Couture Cream Eyeshadow in ‘Prune Taffetas’
Marc Jacobs Jazz(berry) Highliner Crayon
If there’s one thing I’m definitely not, it’s a morning person. So, it was pretty important that I figure out how to do a quick, easy eye makeup look that doesn’t give off the impression that ‘Hey, I just rolled out of bed.’ (Even if I did.)
I know I’ve been singing Marc Jacobs‘ Highliner crayons praises basically since their inception, but they really ARE slam dunk products. The color selection includes all the classics as well as variety, and they pack some serious staying power. Givenchy‘s Ombre Cream Eyeshadow has been a favorite of mine since last summer, but it wasn’t till Jazz(Berry) came into my life that this power couple fell into place.
Basically, they’re like the Jay-Z and Beyonce of emergency eye makeup.
So, if you’re like me and need a super quick makeup look to keep you on schedule in the morning, definitely give this duo a try. You can play around with the colors, but I think purple gives off the impression that you did more work than you did. Don’t you think? Purple’s fancy!

I’ve never actually thought of doing a purple eye look before, so I’m definitely going to have to raid my stash and see what I can find. Love the sound of Marc Jacobs crayons – those swatches are beautiful too! Great post x

Purple I think is such a great color to go to when you’re in a rush, since it really pops and looks special – but is also really simple to pull off. Let me know if you try it! xo
