Hello there and welcome to April! After the marathon month that was March 2020, I think we can all agree it’s a positive to ~~finally~~ find ourselves in a new month and a new season. Spring’s arrival and the pleasant weather (and sunshine) we’ve been enjoying feel like gifts at such an otherwise difficult time.

Spring Beauty Favorites

Today, I wanted to share with all of you some of the spring beauty favorites that I’ve been enjoying at the moment.

While my day-to-day routine has dramatically changed over the last few weeks, I have to say I’ve enjoyed keeping up with my makeup and skincare…even if just a little bit. Right now, maintaining some level of normalcy is something I really appreciate. It’s also helpful in the morning to sit down and get ready for the day as I usually would…even if life has been turned upside down.

And so, parked at my vanity this morning I rounded up 10 spring beauty favorites that I reached for all through March. From the nail polish I’ve been using nonstop to a beloved addition to my nighttime skincare routine and the ultimate princess lipstick! No matter how much or how little you’re doing with your beauty routine at the moment, I think there’s something for everyone. There’s even a foot cream! x

OPI ‘My Chihuahua Doesn’t Bite Anymore’ Nail Polish (Shop)

From the spring Mexico City collection, I have fallen in LOVE with this polish from OPI. It’s a gorgeous orange/poppy shade that is perfect for these warmer months and looks beautiful on the hands as well as your toes. I love this polish so much, that I think I’m going to have to pick up a second bottle before it’s not available anymore. The color is gorgeous and the formula is also very long-wearing. Nail polish usually likes to fly off my nails as quickly as I apply it, but I somehow manage to make a manicure last a full week with this polish. Miraculous!

Physician’s Formula Tinted Lip Treatment (Shop)

Available from Ulta or Physician Formula’s website, this new tinted lip treatment is phenomenal and a new staple in my handbag! It gives your lips such a beautiful wash of color while simultaneously delivering a high level of moisture. All for less than $10? Phenomenal!

ELF Cosmetics Camouflage Concealer (Shop)

The ELF Camouflage concealer is fantastic at any time, but particularly on days when I want to make some sun spots disappear without going to the lengths of a full foundation routine. It’s a full coverage concealer that’s surprisingly creamy and blends into the skin effortlessly. The coverage also lasts all day when set by a powder and miraculously smooths over any fine lines/pores. A really great and affordable option!

O’Keeffe’s Healthy Feet Nighttime Treatment (Shop)

In the era of at home pedicures, this nighttime foot cream from Target is especially wonderful! It is more effective than any other foot cream out there I’ve tried…and I’ve tried many. The lotion also has a pleasant chilling effect that’s quite soothing at bedtime. Apply before bed, tuck your feet into some socks and wake up with dramatically softer feet in the morning! And, given that sandal season is upon us, this is definitely one of the spring beauty favorites you might need the most.

The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% (Shop)

Last year, I shared my affordable anti-aging skincare routine and it’s one I continue to follow. Recently, I picked up a new addition, though, and it’s one I’m pretty pumped about. As we all look to nourish and protect our skin as best we can, Vitamin C is a topic that comes up quite a bit. I’ve tried various serums and moisturizers, but hadn’t latched onto anything until I picked this up from The Ordinary. From first use, I was hooked on this Vitamin C treatment and I apply it to my skin every other night.

The Ordinary’s Vitamin C is how potent and effective — while maintaining an incredibly affordable price. I just purchased my second tube and I look forward to purchasing it again and again in the future. Word of warning, though, if you have sensitive skin – tread lightly. It is very potent and I’d follow a less is more approach when applying to avoid any irritation.

Lancome Eyeshadow Primer (Shop)

This is such a random addition to this list of spring beauty favorites, but I really REALLY enjoy this eyeshadow primer from Lancome. It’s very much like the beloved MAC paint pots but has a much creamier consistently and applies very smoothly. It also neutralizes your eyelids while locking shadow in place. Great stuff!

Colourpop Face Mist Hyaluronic Acid (Shop)

Do you ever add more things to your cart just to qualify for free shipping at Ulta? Well, that’s how this Colourpop face mist came into my life. It’s not normally a step I take, but the addition of hyaluronic acid really peaked my interest and I’m glad it did! The mist adds moisture to my skin on days when I’m going light on the makeup but it also sets things beautifully in place on those days where I do reach for foundation. The price is also great!

Lancome Renergie Lift Foundation (Shop)

I shared a full review of this new foundation from Lancome in early February and my love for it continues to grow! It’s remarkable how lightweight it feels on the skin, while adding such a nice boost of hydration. Usually hydrating foundations make me feel weighed down, but after popping this on I truly forget it’s even there. (Except for when I look in the mirror and see how beautiful my skin looks.) The shade range and wear time are also fantastic!

Hermes Satin Lipstick in ‘Rose’ (Shop)

Now, let me say this $67 pink lipstick came into my life before everything starting to hit the fan. Do I think it’s essential you pick one up, especially during the crisis we’re living through? Definitely not. That said, it is such a high quality lipstick that I couldn’t resist including it on my list of spring beauty favorites. The coverage is beautiful and the formula is so soft and comforting on the lips! Put this on your radar to look into down the road when you’re in need of a new princess lipstick.

Colourpop Light Stix (Shop)

Last but not least? Meet my favorite cream highlighter — ever! Is that a bold statement? Yes. Do I mean it? Yes!!! The Colourpop Lite Stix applies so smoothly to the skin and delivers such a beautiful glow. It’s so great, I honestly haven’t bothered with anything else since I picked it up in January. How this is only $8 I don’t understand, but I’m pleased as punch that it is!
