Greetings, gorgeous! Welcome to a new monthly series on DreaminLace. Considering I’m a massive fan of makeup and always keeping a pulse on the latest product releases, I thought it was high time I start sharing that knowledge and reveling in the latest makeup news with you right here.

So from here on out, look forward to a monthly beauty report that will walk you through all the newest products and collaborations on the makeup scene. And I honestly couldn’t have picked a better month than May to start celebrating beauty news with you.

May 2021 Makeup Releases

May is always an exciting time in the world of beauty as we start seeing summer collections spring up around the internet — which traditionally offer some of the best releases of the year! Colourpop, Dior, KIKO, Natasha Denona, Sigma and more have all revealed their plans for summer 2021 this month and get ready to GLOW.

We have also received some major news from ZARA, who is launching a full collection of makeup products on May 12. This update is somewhat unexpected but also one I’m particularly looking forward to. From lipsticks to highlighting palettes and eyeshadow, ZARA’s beauty collection includes a range of clean products that are also refillable.

In addition to the many great May 2021 makeup releases – we’ve been receiving some cryptic teasers from Valentino Beauty over the last few weeks. Well, I did a little investigating and have intel for you down below on just what’s coming from the iconic luxury brand.

COLOURPOP BARBIE COLLECTION

Colourpop revealed for Summer 2021 – they’re playing with BARBIE! The colorful collection includes a 15-pan eyeshadow palette, 3 lip duos, false lashes, a highlighter and collector’s edition mirror.

DIOR FOREVER NATURAL BRONZE

Dior has two May 2021 makeup releases ahead of summer, starting with the Forever Bronzer that’s available in eight shades and comes in a gorgeous quilted compact.

DIOR SUMMER DUNE LIMITED EDITION EYESHADOW

Dior Makeup is also launching two limited edition eyeshadow palettes for summer! The Summer Dune palettes both include five luminous bronze and golden shades for a glowing summer look.

Fenty Beauty Bright Fix Eye Brightener Concealer

Rihanna is further expanding her Fenty Beauty line with an additional concealer! The Bright Fix Eye Brightener launched this week with 16 shades available for targeting the undereye area.

HOURGLASS VANISH BLUSH STICK

One brand I’m delighted to see included among the May 2021 makeup releases is Hourglass. It’s not too often they release a new product, so when one appears — my ears immediately perk up.

The new Vanish blush sticks from Hourglass have a unique cream-to-powder formula and are available in six shades.

HUDA BEAUTY BROWN OBSESSIONS EYESHADOW PALETTES

Priced at $29 a piece, Huda Beauty has released a trio of 9-pan eyeshadow palettes inspired by all things brown! Caramel, Chocolate and Toffee each feature a nice mixture of matte and shimmery shades for beautiful bronzed eyes that will be beautiful this summer.

Huda Beauty Glow Obsession Mini Palettes

Understanding that we’re all after that coveted summer glow, Huda Beauty has also released a trio of “Glow Obsessions” mini highlighter palettes.

KIKO MILANO FRUIT EXPLOSION COLLECTION

Last year, KIKO released one of my favorite summer collections and I’m glad to see them continue the fun in 2021. The Fruit Explosion collection includes a blurring primer, highlighting trio, 3 eyeshadow palettes, a mascara, three shades of bronzer, a juicy liquid blush and lipsticks.

MAC COSMETICS’ CRUELLA COLLECTION

To celebrate the live-action movie starring Emma Stone, MAC is once again releasing a Disney-inspired range of limited edition products. The MAC Cruella collection includes 3 lipsticks, 3 liquid lipsticks, a longwear eyeliner, false lashes, an 8-pan eyeshadow palette and a powder/blush duo.

Launches May 28 but is available for pre-order now at MAC Cosmetics.

Natasha Denona Zendo Eyeshadow Palette

Last year, Natasha Denona’s Bronze palette was THE eyeshadow palette of summer so it comes as little surprise that her newest offering is one of the most buzzed about May 2021 makeup releases.

The 15-pan Zendo eyeshadow palette includes a vibrant selection of bronze and aqua-toned shadows that are perfect for creating infinite summer-ready looks.

PAT MCGRATH DIVINE BLUSH COLLECTION

Pat McGrath is soon launching a Divine Blush collection, with 9 shades formulated to brighten, build and beautify your complexion.

Sigma Beauty is also launching their Summer 2021 Ambiance collection this month, including a 6-pan highlighting palette, 14-pan eyeshadow palette, two lip glosses and a vegan brush set.

TARTE H2O BALM TINT

To some, this might seem like one of the more boring May 2021 makeup releases but with summer on its way — balms are a fantastic option for lounging by the pool. With an ultra hydrating formula, Tarte’s new balm tints are available in eight shades.

ZARA BEAUTY

On May 12: Zara officially got into the world of beauty with a complete makeup collection!

Designed with makeup artist Diane Kendal, Zara’s new line includes a large selection of lipsticks, lip gloss, powder, eyeshadow duos, makeup brushes, face palettes and even nail polish.

All products use a clean and cruelty-free formula and come in refillable packaging. Everything is also affordably priced, ranging from $7.90 to $25.90.

COMING SOON: Valentino Beauty

For a few weeks now, Valentino Beauty has been dropping some not so subtle teasers on Instagram that they’re diving into the world of luxury makeup.

Well, here is the scoop! Valentino is indeed venturing into makeup with a foundation in 40 shades, collection of 50 lipsticks and eyeshadow palettes launching worldwide in August 2021. Early access will be available at Selfridges on May 31 and those in the US can start placing pre-orders on June 1.
