The Dior On Set Brow gel has arrived — upgrading an earlier formula with natural ingredients! Should you adopt it into your daily beauty routine?

On a beauty front, few things frustrate quite like when an essential part of your routine is discontinued. Fortunately, at times, it’s for the better and that’s definitely the case with Dior’s updated Diorshow On Set Brow gel.

When I went to order a replacement of the beloved Pump n’ Brow gel that I’ve been using regularly since its launch in 2019, I came up empty. But my dismay was quickly put at ease when I realized the product got an upgrade! Now the On Set Brow gel, the updated product is the latest of Dior’s makeup lineup to be reformulated with natural ingredients that are both better for us and the planet. Talk about a win, win.

Obviously I ordered one in my traditional Brown shade immediately and have been testing it out to see if there are any major differences between the two.

Dior On Set Brow Gel

The Dior On Set Brow gel is currently available in 5 color options:

BLOND: For light blond and gray brows with warm undertones
BROWN: For brown brows with red hues and warm undertones
DARK BROWN: Deep brown with neutral undertones
BLACK: Suitable for black and very very dark brows
UNIVERSAL: Untinted, translucent gel that’s suitable for everyone

Dior designed the On Set Brow mascara to apply easily and quickly! Comb through your brows for an instantly groomed look.

WHAT DOES THE PRODUCT DO, EXACTLY?

The Dior On Set Brow gel tames your brows while adding volume. It also takes minimal effort on your part, which is fantastic if you’re doing your makeup on the fly to get out the door in a rush or applying while on-the-go. There’s no need to worry about expertly filling in your brows with precision by hand. Simply brush through and it will evenly distribute color through your brows naturally.

HOW LONG DOES THE PRODUCT LAST?

The Dior team ramped up their old Pump n Brow formula for this one! The On Set Brow gel has a waterproof formula that lasts through workouts and even dips in the pool. Brows will stay full and voluminous all day long without touchups.

EASY, NATURAL APPEARANCE

What I love most about the Dior On Set Brow gel is just how natural it is when applied to the face. The product adds volume and definition in a way that’s seamless and can be applied very easily in under two minutes.

PUMP N’ BROW v. ON SET BROW

Clearly by design, the applicator for the Dior On Set Brow remains consistent with its predecessor. I also noticed that the “Brown” shade I’ve always used is identical in color.

In addition to reformulating the product with 90% natural ingredients, Dior did extend the length of the brow gel applicator slightly. This helps create even more volume when applied. The now waterproof formula also provides an extended wear time that lasts through humidity, rain, swimming, etc.

Dior did ditch the “pump” aspect of the former packaging – which really made no impact before so there’s no complaint from me there!

All-in-all, I’m pleased to report that the Dior On Set Brow gel lives up to my love for the former Pump n’ Brow mascara. It’s a product I’ll continue to use as an unsung hero of my daily makeup routine — particularly on those mornings when I am throwing myself together quickly! Hopefully this version is hear to stay and one I can continue to repurchase again and again for years to come.
