Stephane Rolland explores uncharted territory for his Fall 2016 haute couture collection.
Flashback Friday? Forgive me for being a tad late with this discussion on Stephane Rolland‘s Fall 2016 haute couture collection. While couture week has come and gone, I simply couldn’t move on without sharing with you these beautiful images of a striking collection that’s bursting with glamour and intrigue.
Seasonally, Stephane Rolland really delivers with couture – bringing elegant gowns that are a fixture on red carpet stages such as the Cannes Film Festival. For Fall 2016, the French designer sought new lines and turned his attention to abstract geometric art…specifically, Spanish artist Pablo Palazuelo.
With lavish large netting, crisp ‘window’ panels and sharp black lines the Fall 2016 haute couture collection comes to life. Rolland balances the abstract with the romantic, creating designs that balance angular designs with voluminous skirts. The collection perfectly breaks the mold of standard evening wear attire, bringing a contemporary look to Stephane Rolland’s classic, signature silhouettes.
Let’s take a look at my ten top looks, shall we?
How truly stunning is this latest haute couture collection from Stephane Rolland? Gorg-eous. With sweeping silhouettes and plunging necklines, there’s certainly no shortage of drama for Fall 2016. Keeping a cool, monochrome palette, Rolland presents a sultry mood that’s very understated compared to the flashy couture collections of his peers this season.
With couture week wrapped up, last week’s announcement of the Emmy nominations and Monday’s Venice Film Festival schedule release…I’m feeling ready for some epic red carpet moments to come. And note to starlets and A-listers everywhere, any one of these looks will land you on my ‘Best Dressed’ list. *wink wink*
On that note, that’s the conclusion of my Fall 2016 couture coverage but check below for other posts you may have missed. Thank you so much for reading and I hope you’re having a beautiful week!
