Would you like to join me on a journey to lose 10 pounds?
If you feel a bit insecure about yourself and wish to lose 10 pounds, you’re not alone!
I’m not too excited to admit this, or to write this post – but in the last year or so, I’ve gotten a bit ‘cushy’ with my eating and workout routine. I thought, ‘Hey! Maybe others can relate?’ And so, I’ve set out to share my goal to get back on track, in hopes of finding a buddy system. Strength in numbers, right?
On the subject of numbers, I know ’10 pounds’ is a subjective term. The scale is not the be all, end all of health and wellness…and our real focus will be on making healthier choices. Skip the side of french fries in favor of a salad. Pass on the bread basket and choose water over soda. You know, the basics!
One thing that’s always worked well for me that I’ve strayed from, is closing my kitchen at 7:30 pm. As in, no eating after dinner! I have this nasty habit of doing really well through the day, then throwinng that out the window in the evenings for a bowl of ice cream, or candy…or occasionally both. *facepalm* I don’t know why it is, but something about dusk and darkness turns me into a serious nosher! From now on, my kitchen is officially closed at 7:30 – unless it’s for some tea. Tea is always good!
Alright, I am excited. I’ll be checking in on here once a week, but I’ll also be using the hashtag #GetFitinLace on Twitter and Instagram. If you want to join me on a journey to a healthy and happier you, follow along and use the hashtag too. It will be our little way of staying on track! *high five*
Remember, the first few days are always the hardest – but once we get those yucky processed foods out of our system, I promise we’ll feel energized to continue.
I’m off now to embark on my ‘healthy’ journey! Thank you so much for reading, and do let me know if you too are on a mission to lose 10 pounds. I think I’ll need your support 🙂
What’s your favorite way to stay motivated?

Great article! I’m on the middle of my journey too! And you’re right, it’s very important not to eat evenings, I prefer not to eat after 6pm.

Yes! Somehow, I think anything I eat after dinner turns directly into fat and bloat. Eek!
