Turns out, Valentino too thinks New York City is the reigning fashion capital of the world. Last week the fashion house packed up stunning haute couture and traveled oversees to the Big Apple for their first couture showing in Manhattan, ever. It was a big night for a fashion, and a big night for Valentino – who showed a heavenly white and demure collection in remembrance of the classic 1968 White Collection. 46 white looks walked the white runway, each more breathtakingly demure than the last. From petticoats to cashmere capes, it was all very posh, ladylike and supremely Valentino!
Valentino was gracious enough to air the New York City runway show live, leaving fashion gals fainting all around the world from the heavenly mix of cashmere, lace and bling. It couldn’t be a more beautiful collection, carrying day and night looks each with Valentino’s signature delicate grace.
With award season waiting around the corner and Valentino it-girl Keira Knightley set to appear at several award ceremonies, I *hope* we’ll see her wow us in one of the gorgeous gowns featured in this collection. Keira is rumored to be newly pregnant, and I think a mother in white Valentino couture would be the perfect way to steal our hearts on the red carpet.

I love how Valentino made something as simple as the color white looks so complex & multidimensional.:] // ▲ itsCarmen.com ▲

I completely agree. “All white collection” on paper sounds potentially boring, but on the runway it was exquisite with so much variation! xoxo

I love all of the white. It’s so pretty, especially during winter.

Whoever said ‘don’t wear white after labor day’ was seriously off their rocker 😉
