It’s that time of year: Coachella time, aka the modern day equivalent to Woodstock. Over the weekend, festival season kicked off with a bang and the fashion was mostly on fleek. From Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, to Fergie rocking some SERIOUS fringe – there’s all sorts of boho-chic fabulousness to inspire your inner-hippie.
Your Bohemian, Festival Fashion Round-Up
Well, we’ve officially come to that time of year: Festival season. Coachella kicks off this weekend, meaning crop tops, fringe backpacks and cutoff shorts are going to be in heavy rotation. That, of course, isn’t to say that you need to attend Coachella to have an excuse to rock the modern day bohemian-rock look. No, in fact – festival fashion is creeping more and more into our everyday attire! Don’t believe me? See this post, which discusses the rise of fringe for spring.
But, whether you’ll be riding a ferris wheel in the sunset, or kickin’ it at home this weekend…here’s a roundup of festival approved fashion to satisfy the Bohemian in all of us!
My March Beauty + Makeup Favorites
My March beauty and makeup favorites list isn’t too long this month, but believe me when I say these are f-a-v-o-r-i-t-e-s! As in, at any given moment through the month of March I was wearing one, if not all, of the above. Best part, it required no shopping on my part! All of these guys have just been hanging around in my vanity waiting to be devoured…and boy did I devour them!
As well as Snapchat, The Black Keys and Netflix’s latest series: Bloodline!
Red Carpet: iHeart Radio Music Awards
I’ve never seen the iHeartRadio Music Awards before, nor paid attention to the red carpet, but I took a stab in the dark and agreed to cover the red carpet a couple weeks back. Thus, I interrupted my Bloodline binge-fest on Netflix, (watch it! SO GOOD) to peruse the red carpet looks of – apparently – one very lackluster event. Turns out, the iHeartRadio Music Awards are not the next Grammy’s…or the next anything…
But, I AM committed to honoring my editorial calendar, thus we can very quickly blow through the red carpet fashions of the night. (And then promptly forget them 2 minutes later.)
It’s Monday guys, let’s have some fun. Here are my immediate reactions to the red carpet!
Fashion: Fringe Benefits for Spring
Queue the weather girl: fringe is BIG in the forecast for spring fashion, dreamers.
Last fall, EVERYONE from Michael Kors and Altuzarra, to Preen and even Marchesa was showing the fringe trend on the Spring 2015 runways, and retailers EVERYWHERE are jumping aboard. And with Coachella, Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo bringing festival fashion back to the mainstream, it’s hardly surprising to see fringe popping everywhere! Good news, though. It doesn’t have to be Coachella for you to pull of this spring trend! Nope, you can start wearing this every day of the week, immediately. If you are planning your wardrobe for the next big festival or rave on your calendar, be sure to consider the collections over on iHeartRaves.com to really make a statement!
Review: Philosophy Miracle Worker Skincare
I’ve been a longtime fan of Philosophy‘s Hope in a Jar line for years – but at Christmas time I picked up their Miracle Worker skincare range for a test. When it comes to daily moisturizers, Philosophy is undoubtedly the ONE brand I always return to. Sure, I’ll venture into Kiehl’s, Origins etc…but undoubtedly I’ll always go straight back to Philosophy’s Hope in Jar line – and so it felt overdue that I try something new from within the Philosophy brand itself.
Confession: I have a serious phobia of developing crows feet. That very really fear propelled me to try a moisturizer that upped the ‘anti-age’ factor…bringing me to the Miracle Worker skincare products. I know several out there that swear by these creams, and I was very eager to put them to the test. How did it go? Well…
