The 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar Party looks covered a spectrum of designers and styles! Let’s review the good — the bad!
Greetings, fashionistas! I don’t know about you but truth be told? I’ve hit the snooze button several times when it comes to award season this year.
But as they say better late than never and I came rearing into the Academy Awards excited to watch Jamie Lee Curtis take home a trophy and hopeful Banshees of the Inisherin would take home some prizes as well — oh well on that front. (Still a great film!) After Jimmy Kimmel called it a night I was also very excited to see what fun the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar party looks we had in store for us. In the end? We walk away with some really terrific ones — and others I think we should forget ever happened.
2023 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Looks
As is the case every year, the Academy Award winners celebrated their winnings at the Governors Ball – which means not all of them graced the blue carpet Vanity Fair rolled out for their after-party. Nonetheless, nominees like Best Supporting Actress Nominee Angela Bassett and Best Actress Winner Michelle Yeoh were ready for fun – each debuting their second looks of the evening that are quite divine.
The 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar party also featured buzz-worthy names like the cast of Daisy Jones and the Six as well as Kendall and Kylie Jenner with Hailey Bieber — who are all fresh off perhaps the biggest celebrity scandal we’ve seen to date in 2023. Models like Gigi Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski and the GOAT Naomi Campbell were also in attendance as were music stars like Dove Cameron and the exuberant Cardi B who is always fun to watch.
Pop open some champagne and prepare to toast the looks from the most buzz-worthy after party in Hollywood!
2023 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Looks
Angela Bassett in Moschino
Angela’s love of playing with color made partnering with Moschino on two looks for the night a lot of fun. She wore a stunning purple for the awards ceremony before swapping into this gorgeous red jumpsuit for the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar party and boy does she look sensational!
Michelle Yeoh in Armani Prive
Oscar winner and dressed to the nines!
Camila Morrone in Maison Valentino
It’s been such a delight watching Camila Morrone step into her own with her style while promoting Daisy Jones & the Six — which you definitely ought to watch on Amazon Prime.
Cara Delivingne in Del Cor
Celebrating four months of sobriety, Cara Delevingne was glowing on Oscars night!
Cardi B
Daisy Edgar Jones in Gucci
Dove Cameron
Emily Ratajkowski in Feben
A solid meh.
Emma Roberts in Dolce and Gabbana
Florence Pugh in Maison Valentino
Florence has become a leading ambassador for Valentino and loves to have fun playing with every aspect of Pierpaolo’s talent. For the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar party she ditched the idea of a traditional gown in favor of tailored trousers and a voluminous cape. The look seemed to struggle during transport – leaving it unfortunately pretty wrinkled and deflated on the carpet.
Gigi Hadid in Zac Posen
Leave it to Gigi Hadid to remind us that Zac Posen does tailoring like none other!
Hailey Bieber in Saint Laurent
If it weren’t for the recent scandal re Selena Gomez – I dare say no one would even notice was at the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar Party because this is giving nothing new or memorable.
Hunter Schafer in Ann Demeulemeester
She and her stylist Law Roach sure know how to get attention but I feel like this would be much more polished with some jewelry, better hair or even more striking makeup. It falls surprisingly flat and feels almost uncomfortable to look at.
Kate Hudson in Tamara Ralph
What a delight! Definitely among the best 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar party looks.
Kendall Jenner in 2008 Jean Paul Gaultier
Mean girl or not – she sure looked beautiful!
Kylie Jenner in custom Maison Margiela
Her eyebrows looked great — and Galliano never misses.
Georgie May Jagger in L’Wren Scott
Love that Georgie May revisited the talented late designer!
Megan Thee Stallion Bach Mai
Naomi Campbell in Schiaparelli
NAOMI WATTS IN GIVENCHY
Paris Jackson in Giambattista Valli
A gothic, romantic dream! Love this so much.
Riley Keough in Celine
Riley Keough in Celine
Quite love this design but it doesn’t feel very celebratory for an after-party.
Suki Waterhouse in Elie Saab
Dramatic and shiny with a gorgeous YSL red lip. Sold!
Tessa Thompson in Moschino
The skirt is absolutely gorgeous and I see where Jeremy Scott may have been going with the top – almost very Schiaparelli-esque, but it’s not doing her justice. If there was sheer paneling connecting the two pieces as one? That would really elevate it!
Tracee Ellis Ross in Balmain
Her majesty never disappoints!
Zoey Deuth in Maison Valentino
Definitely one of the best 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar party looks as well as in the top two Valentino looks of the evening.
