From a drugstore must have to the most hydrating lip gloss and long-lasting foundation, allow me to present my most repurchased makeup products.

Greetings, fellow makeup lovers! Today we’re addressing a topic that’s been on my to-do list for an embarrassing amount of time. I’ve been procrastinating on the subject like a sophomore studying for a geometry test but I’m procrastinating no more!
Trying new products and reinventing my beauty routine regularly is a lot of fun for me! The inner burst of excitement I used to get when coming upon the Barbie aisle at Kmart as a child has been replaced by the exuberance I feel browsing new arrivals at Sephora and Ulta. But, when I sit down at my vanity every morning, I do take note of the many gems I reach for continually and so I thought it was high time I finally share my most repurchased makeup products with you!
These are staples in my regular beauty routine and products I like to always have a backup of waiting in the wings.
Pulling things together I was kind of surprised – but also not – that there are definitely two major brands featured among my most repurchased makeup products. Whenever I theorize about if I had to only select on brand to wear, I waver back and forth between Dior, Pat McGrath and NARS. Their products seem to agree the most with my combination skin and lack of interest of touching up throughout the day.
So below, definitely count on seeing those names appear as well as products that are LONG-wearing!
Most Repurchased Makeup Products
Pat McGrath Blurring Undereye Powder
Not only would I say Pat McGrath’s blurring powder is one of my most repurchased makeup products — it’s also the one I apply as religiously as my daily SPF. Where my sunscreen is the first step of my routine, this gorgeous powder is the last — putting a filter-like finishing touch to my skin. The soft, blurring effect it adds to the undereye area is also most appreciated by someone who struggles to get a full night’s sleep as a I do!
Pat McGrath Sublime Perfection Concealer
There are quite a few concealers out there I really enjoy but the one I must have in my stash at all times is the Sublime Perfection concealer from Pat McGrath. Yes, you can probably sense a trend on how much I love her products and they are all really fantastic — but I actually think she did a much better job with her concealer than her foundation. At a fraction of the price, it offers the same amount of full coverage but with a creamier formula that melts into the skin.
Pat McGrath Dark Star Mascara
I didn’t think Pat would be able to top her Fetish Eyes mascara, but then Dark Star arrived to take my lashes to lengths they never reached before. I promise I’m moving on from Pat McGrath products now but if you’re interested, I did share a comparison of her two mascaras with much more detail.
NARS Soft Matte Foundation
I couldn’t NOT include a foundation among my most repurchase makeup products as I absolutely LOVE to wear foundation on weekdays. Generally speaking, its tough to judge one across the board for everyone as we all have different preferences and skin types.
For me? The holy grail foundation I’ve most reached for since its release in Summer 2020 is NARS’s Soft Matte foundation. It provides such wonderful coverage without weighing down my complexion. It’s so lightweight, in fact, that I do forget I’m wearing it till I wash my face in the evening. It’s available in a healthy shade range and at a much more moderate price tag than alternative options from NARS.
Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator
From the drugstore my two favorite brands are without a doubt Maybelline and Wet n Wild!
But I bounce around so much within those lines that I rarely find myself purchasing something again and again. That is, of course, except for tinted moisturizer! Maybelline’s Dream BB was my favorite for many years but I switched to Wet n Wild when they released the tinted hydrator in 2021. Formulated with hyaluronic acid and other skin-loving ingredients, its my most-worn base on weekends and days when I want to skip the foundation while still balancing my skintone.
Dior Backstage No Powder Powder
When I first picked up Dior’s Backstage Powder I was skeptical it would make a lasting impression on me, let alone become one of my most repurchased makeup products. But alas, here we are! Where I use Pat McGrath’s blurring powder as a finishing touch under my eyes, the Dior powder is what I use every single day to set my concealer and foundation.
It has a rather unique almost gel-like consistency and creates a beautiful natural finish to the skin without looking like you’re a stale piece of bread. Which is, as I’m sure you can imagine, always a plus!
Dior Pump n’ Brow Gel
I confess, I’m not all that excited about eyebrows. Yes, we all have them but they are not nearly as much fun to play with as say eyeshadow or lipstick. So when it comes to my brows, I prefer easy-to-use products that get the job done FAST. That’s where Dior comes in! They have a variety of great products for this part of your face but my favorite is the Diorshow Brow Gel that combs through the brows, taming and touching up all in one go. It takes me all of 10 seconds to do my brows with this beauty and that is greatly appreciated.
(Here’s a good drugstore option from Maybelline as well.)
Dior Lip Gloss in “Princess”
By design this is a lip gloss but I have taken to using it as a balm to hydrate my lips throughout the year as it is seriously hydrating. So much so it can successfully tackle even the most determined chapped lips. The shade Princess is my particular favorite as it pairs so nicely with whatever I’m wearing. It’s also soft enough that I can whisk it on without a mirror and know I won’t end up looking like I’m leading a clown act at the circus.
YSL Rouge Volupte Shine
Like eyeshadow palettes, I have a lot of fun experimenting with different lipsticks and so it really is a rare occasion for me to fully use one up! But I have gone through multiple tubes of YSL’s hydrating yet richly-pigmented Rouge Volupte Shine lipsticks and I’m always excited when new shades are released! In addition to the obviously beautiful packaging, the formula hydrates while offering medium coverage that lasts a surprising amount of time for a shine product. Highly recommend as a treat for yourself — or someone else!
Lancome Aquatic Eye Primer
It may not seem like the most obvious inclusion, but the Lancome eye primer is most definitely one of my most repurchased makeup product! You could argue it’s a boring one but it truly is so engrained in my daily beauty routine that I find myself reaching for and applying this without even thinking. And that’s an obvious perk as I really try to keep thinking at a minimum till I’ve had at least one cup of coffee.
The only downside of this eye primer is its frequently sold out, which is why I always make sure to have a backup on hand. Wet n Wild’s eyeshadow primer is also a good one from the drugstore!
