The Dior Holiday 2021 collection in particular is a truly special one as it celebrates the brand’s long history in haute couture. For more than seventy years, couture has played an important role in the legacy of Christian Dior and it’s wonderful to pay homage to such a beloved tradition with a collection of makeup that brings to life the very essence of Dior.

Embracing the glitziness of the season, the Dior Holiday 2021 eyeshadow palettes are undeniably perfect for festive celebrations. They will also be perfecting for adding a touch of dazzle to the eyes in the winter months ahead – offsetting the bleak gray days of January and February.

The Dior Atelier of Dreams collection includes two limited edition quints:

Considering that eyeshadow is among my biggest weakness, it was just a matter of time before a Dior Holiday 2021 eyeshadow palette was in my hands. As a sucker for gold, I opted for the warm toned palette and gosh it’s beautiful.

Compact and Travel Ready

In addition to being a major fan of Dior’s eyeshadow formula in general, I am very drawn to the compactness of the Atelier of Dreams quints compared to much larger palettes that live in my collection.

The Dior Holiday 2021 eyeshadow palette is a great one for travel and I already see it becoming a go-to staple when I want an effortless makeup look that while beautiful – doesn’t require much time. The quint is also compact enough that you can easily toss it in a handbag for application on-the-go when necessary.

Soft, Smooth and Easily Blendable

Existing fans will be pleased to know the Dior Holiday 2021 eyeshadow palette features the same super blendable formula we’ve come to know and love from the quint palettes. Compared to the somewhat dryer Dior Backstage eyeshadows, the quint shades have a buttery softness to them that makes for beautiful application across the lid.

The shadows apply evenly with a brush as well as a finger and blend with ease. Easy as can be!

Long-Lasting and Pigmented Shadows

Where Chanel eyeshadow seems to love leading a disappearing act on the eyes, Dior’s formula is a long-wearing one. When worn atop a primer or concealer, you can rely on Dior’s eyeshadows to stay put throughout the full day.

The shadows also have a nice amount of pigment to them in general, but the deeper shades of the Dior Holiday 2021 eyeshadow palette? Wow. They are bold! Be sure to apply and blend with a light touch.

As a longtime fan of Iconic Overcurl, it’s always a delight when a gift set for one of my most favorite mascaras becomes available. These sets are priced the same as a full-sized mascara ($29) but always include a bonus for the eyes.

If you’re not yet tried Dior’s Iconic Overcurl mascara, you are in for a real treat! It provides such a beautiful curl to the lashes (hence the name) that stays put from dawn to dusk. It’s been a regular in my makeup collection for years now and I always keep one on standby in the wings so I’m never without.
