The couture week schedule featured two very exciting additions: Kim Jones Fendi debut and Alber Elbaz’s new venture, AZ Factory. Let’s discuss — the good and the bad!!

Hello, fashionable readers! As the wheels of virtual couture week continue I think we can all agree it’s lacking the pizzazz we’re all accustomed to. Nonetheless, it has given us quite a lot to discuss! Specifically? Two very exciting additions to the couture circuit.

And while we can’t be together in person, my fashionable partner in crime Thomas Monks and I turned on our microphones and used the power of the internet to record a new episode of the Fashion Forward Friends podcast. If you haven’t yet listened to our podcast, it features lively discussions on the latest happenings in fashion — and couture week most definitely makes the cut.

Thomas and I are both big fans of Dior menswear, so Kim Jones Fendi debut in WOMENSWEAR was one collection we majorly had our eyes on. In addition, Alber Elbaz unveiled his new venture AZ Factory! Elbaz has been missing from the fashion scene for several years now after he left his post as creative director at Lanvin. Since the fall, he’s been dropping hints and teasers on his new brand and we were very eager to see what he had cooking up his sleeve!
