When his name appeared on the virtual New York Fashion Week schedule this month, expectation was that Jonathan Simkhai had plans to unveil a Spring/Summer 2021 collection same as everyone else. But, instead, Simkhai had something very different in mind — giving his fall collection its rightful time and place.

Originally, the Jonathan Simkhai Fall 2020 collection made its runway debut with the rest in February. This NYFW, the industry looks ahead to next year while Simkhai chooses to go against the grain. In an unconventional twist, he presented the same collection for the second time. Why? As a push towards a more sustainable approach and need to live in the now.
This season, we’re focusing on the present.
We know that the change we need as a society, as a planet, cannot be achieved alone. We must join forces and walk together, and there are no shortcuts. We’re stripping back to basics and prioritizing our community, pursuing sustainable practices and strive to always be a responsible and thoughtful member of society.
