Hello there, darling! It’s a very gray and gloomy day outside my window today…and I’m ready to start thinking ahead to spring. Dressing for work this morning, I reached for color to counteract the dreariness that is life in late February. *womp womp* In a cheerful pink dress and my favorite glossy pink YSL lipstick, I felt primed to take on the day in a much better mood. There’s something truly uplifting about color, floral prints and delicate lace. As such, I call upon you to start shifting your gaze to the spring season ahead.
Oh sure, Spring doesn’t officially start for another month – but in my book, spring beings on March 1st (which is shockingly just one week away). Luckily, I’m not alone! Easter candy now lines the aisles of our supermarkets and florists have all the beautiful lilies and tulips on display. It’s that time of year when we can cast aside the deep burgundy and browns, turning our gaze to color.
Celebrate Spring Fling with Pretty Spring Dresses
Last week, after seeing Fifty Shades Darker (which was SO BAD, btw), my sister and I took a trip to Nordstrom where I discovered a feast of pretty spring dresses on display. Have you heard of the brand Eliza J? I hadn’t before, but fell in love with their feminine dresses that seem perfect for the springtime. They’re dresses you can wear while both at work and play. At home, I started hopping around the internet to see what other lovely spring dresses were available out there. I even travelled to a few retailers such as the Essex dress boutique. This Spring, I’m really drawn to three things: lace, blush pink and bell sleeves. Of course, a ruffle or two here and there never hurts. Somehow, I also always attribute navy with the springtime – especially when paired with pink. Are there any spring trends you’re really into?
