Amidst New York Fashion Week, be my guest and enjoy the Lela Rose Fall 2017 collection unveiling at a beautiful NYC luncheon.
Lela Rose Returns to Fashion Week
Once again, Lela Rose ascended on New York Fashion Week and treated guests to a beautiful runway luncheon to celebrate her latest collection. The Lela Rose Fall 2017 collection features lots of pink, cheerful prints and prim collars – and is a nod to happy times. In the collection’s notes, Lela writes that in the face of the troubling times among us today, her purpose is to bring “beauty, delight and a smile” to the lady both in her close and observing them.
As an observer, I am indeed smiling.
I wager the Lela Rose Fall 2017 collection will bring a smile to your face as well, which is why I simply had to put together a post on the the stunning fashions and luncheon. This season, Lela Rose elected The Marlton Hotel and Loring Place restaurant as the stage for her new creations.
A Ladies Luncheon at Loring Place
You may recall, last September unveiled her gorgeous Spring 2017 collection at a luncheon held at Cafe Altro Paradiso. (here). In planning her February presentation, she opted to unveil the Lela Rose Fall 2017 collection at Loring Place restaurant on 8th street.
The luncheon featured a delicious, clean menu of fresh vegetables, hummus and a tasty broccoli mint salads. Tables were cheerfully decorated with color vases of fresh flowers and personalized place settings. Guests included Mandy Moore – who currently stars in This is Us but is most beloved for her role in the heartwarming/breaking Walk to Remember. Mandy looked fabulous and how could she not? Dressed in Lela Rose is decidedly the new way to go for a ladies luncheon.
A Delightful Lela Rose Fall 2017 Collection
Optimism and femininity are no doubt true signatures of Lela Rose and I can think of no better way to collectively brighten our spirits than her latest collection.
Entitled “Beauty, Hope, Resilience” – the Fall 2017 runway is decorated with color, exquisite detailing and lace. It’s a collection of timeless polish that brings exuberance to season with a largely darker tone. From Nicole Miller’s 90’s grunge, to Alexander Wang and Brandon Maxwell’s nearly all-black collections, Lela Rose honors her ambition to bring cheer to the fashion landscape – at a time when so many need it.
Of course, I wouldn’t be me without taking a moment to gush for a moment over the collars. Try as I might to conceal my obsession with a decorative collar, I just can’t do it. Adorned with satin ribbons, broaches and even embroidered flowers – the Lela Rose Fall 2017 collection satisfies my hunger for girly detailing and has me ready to start pinning handcrafted bows to my favorite blouses, pronto.
Blair Waldorf Would be Proud
As the great Blair Waldorf taught us, a headband has the power to truly turn your outfit around.
Models walked the Lela Rose Fall 2017 runway in gorgeous and highly decorative headbands, that are currently available on LelaRoseModels ALSO wear gorgeous and highly decorative headbands, that are currently available on LelaRose’s website and boutiques. Even better? Lela Rose is graciously donating a portion of sales to Planned Parenthood and the ACLU. It’s a meaningful act of protest, to champion the rights of women across America and those aspiring to live and work in our communities.
I so hope you enjoyed taking a glimpse into the joyous occasion that was Lela Rose’s latest runway show. Doesn’t it make you want to put on a pretty dress and throw a lunch for your best girlfriends? Lela says she believes “in the power of a good meal spent with others – as a moment to relax, reflect and exchange ideas,” and I concur.
May she inspire you to host a nice get-together for your loved ones!
