I love shopping for new products, and trying the latest salon centric products however this week I wanted to tell you all about the different drugstore products I cannot live without! Because you don’t have to spend a lot of money to find a great beauty product. Here are 5 beauty products from the drugstore, that I can’t live without!
We all know the how tempting it is to pick up a swanky foundation from Nordstrom or Sephora, a luxe lipstick and professional hair care products. We fall into this belief that since it costs more money and has posh packing, its’ better…but that doesn’t mean there aren’t hidden gems hanging out in the aisles of your local drugstores. There are times where treating yourself to a luxury item is acceptable. Take a look at a sites like thebeautyholic.com, where you can get tips on how to look good without breaking the bank. Isn’t that what everyone dreams of? I mean, if you have the money, why not? But at times, we tend to prioritise and find alternatives in high street stores, which can work just as well.
Today I want to share with you 5 products that I use so frequently and mindlessly, that they’re permanently ingrained in my brain. I turn to these if not every day, every other day. The lipstick I have to throw on quickly while heading into a meeting and don’t have a mirror. The dry shampoo I use to carry to 2, 3 or yes sometimes even 4 days in between shampooing my hair. (Washing my hair? Yuck!) Then there’s the foundation that is virtually flawless it’s that good!
Yup, today…we’re talking about the goodies from the drugstore that make or break my regular beauty routine. I know it seems pretty dramatic to say you can’t live without a drugstore concealer, but…it does feel that way. Here are my 5 favorite drugstore beauty products and I’d LOVE to know what are yours!
L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation
Long-lasting, demi-matte finish that manages to stay put even in heat and humidity? Surely something that good doesn’t exist at the drugstore right? Wrong. L’Oreal hit the jackpot with this one! It earned the coveted spot of my favorite foundation of 2015 and continues to be every bit as loved!
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in ‘Honey’
I feel like lots of people have an obsession with Honey. Thing is, I don’t particularly ooh and ahh over this guy, but somehow it’s my most used lip product. I tend to start my day with a more dramatic lip, but gravitate to this in the afternoon after lunch and a million cups of water and coffee have washed that all away. This is my favorite go-to, goes with everything, feels minty fresh on your lips and is super flattering lipstick. It’s a must-have, indeed!
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
I think I’ve shared my love of Maybelline’s Fit Me concealer more than a dozen times at this point, but it’s every bit as loved!
Maybelline Color Tattoo in ‘Barely Branded’
I have a love for the Barely Branded color tattoo because it works really well as a base…or when you’re in a very quick rush and just want to look not like a zombie as you run out the door.
Dove Dry Shampoo
I used to wash my hair every day. Every. Day. That fact shocks (and frankly, horrifies) me. These days, I wash my hair after three or four days and use this fabulous dry shampoo to carry me through the days in between. Dry shampoo is something that in itself is an essential beauty product for me, but after dilly dallying around the variety of options out there…I find that the Dove dry shampoo is my absolute favorite! It doesn’t have that harsh chemical smell. It does build a white-cast in your hair. It’s affordable and accessible…and basically, an all around gem. Highly recommend making a trip to your drugstore or Target to pick this up 🙂
And there we have it! 5 essential beauty products from the drugstore that I can’t live without. There are, of course, even more drugstore products that I love…so if you’d like to see me share more about drugstore beauty, let me know and I’m happy to oblige! Please share with me what your favorite products are from the drugstore. Yes, I have a love of higher end beauty products, but I’m also a fan of a great bargain from the drugstore.
