When it comes to curls, my hair rebels. ‘How to get long-lasting curls’ has been a fixture in my Google search history for years. My locks are fine – and hefty! Seriously, I have about as much hair as Rapunzel. What I lack in length, I make up for in density. When I take time to curl my full head of hair, I get about an hour or so before things go flat. Which is a massive bummer, as it’s really labor intensive to work this much hair guys. (I’m talking, lots!)
That is, until I discovered Nume curling wands last year and things changed! I requested my first Nume wand for Christmas in 2013, got it – and never looked back. Now, curls not only last all day…but into a second day as well. It’s a holy-moly hair miracle!
I know I’m probably supposed to section off my hair and go around my head twice…but honestly, who’s got time for that? Luckily the Nume curling wands get so hot that it allows for me to just go RIGHT at it! Which is honestly much better for my hair as that means less direct heat.
On freshly washed hair, I skip the curling wand – but on second, third or even fourth day hair, waves are simple and look great. They also give me a little boost of ‘Ooo I’m a Victoria’s Secret model!’….without actually being one, of course.
Rule of thumb: the larger section you curl, the looser that curl will be. If you want tight curls, grab smaller sections. If you want variety, mix it up! Alternate between going towards your face and away. Alternate between sections with some heft to them, and small sections. The trick to making your curls looking more natural and effortless is avoiding the uniform look with each section.
Now, for the super fun part…an AWESOME deal! Right now, you can get ANY Nume curling wand for only $38! Yes, pick out whatever wand suits your needs..and save a sh*t load. I remember way back when I got my first NuMe wand using an Eleventh Gorgeous — and that was to get one for $100. $38 is a complete steal!
So click here to save mega bucks and let me know what you get. Or, if you already have Nume wants, which ones are your favorites?
