Resort season is coming to an end, but not without a shining moment for Roland Mouret’s Resort 2016 Collection. It’s clean, modern – and totally up my street.
When it comes to fashion, every now and then a collection comes along that speaks right to my heart. Enter Roland Mouret’s Resort 2016 collection, which is youthful, yet polished – and perfect for a young working girl like me. Whether strutting into the office, or into happy hour – Mouret presents clean classics with a kick of spice. The palette is neutral, with an occasion pop of aqua. And, to keep it fun, the clothes play with asymmetrical hemlines and mix prints, as seamlessly as they mix textures.
The lookbook shows a model, wearing a natural glow to the face – paired with dark polish on her fingertips. Likewise, the clothes show perfected minimalism, with that dramatic hint of edge. No, we’re not as far on the dark side as Saint Laurent or Lanvin, but Roland Mouret shows there is life in his clothes, yet.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – Resort season is a great way to inspire your outfit of the day, now. I sit here on Sunday evening, perusing through ideas of what to wear to work tomorrow – and Roland Mouret’s Resort 2016 collection is full of inspiration!
What I’d give to have that black jumpsuit, or that sporty, aqua and peplum dress hanging in my closet right now…
