Taylor Swift makes me green with envy. No, not because of her long list of celebrity BFFs, her killer closet or lifestyle – but because her legs are literally out of this world. Seriously, everyone’s favorite red lip songstress has me thinking I need to seriously up my pilates and lunge game, pronto!
I confess: I’ve been a bit lazy on the fitness front the last couple months. Shamefully, I’ve becoming one of those whiny ‘I just don’t have the time’ people and sidestep a regular workout routine while still having time to binge on Netflix. What sense does that make? None!
So, in giving myself a swift kick up the ass, I thought it only fitting to snag Taylor Swift as the ultimate fitness inspo! Physique-wise, I’m a tall, long-legged girl like Taylor, but her legs put mine to serious shame. No more dragging my heals though, I’m going to get back on the Pilates train and throw some lunges in as well. One thing I have been reasonably great at is taking long, speedy walks for cardio – but I need to add toning to my regular fitness routine. Leg lifts here I come!
By all means, join me on the fitness bandwagon! Strength in numbers will seriously help us from crying while doing squats. Let’s rally together and get our legs in tip-top shape for summer. Need more encouragement? Here are some style shots of Taylor Swift’s amazing legs to inspire you:
In case you don’t know where to start, I recommend taking a browse on YouTube for Pilates leg-toning routines. There are a gazillion mat routines that can give your legs a serious workout. Lunges and squats are fabulous for building up your leg muscles, but Pilates will help elongate your muscles to give you that lengthy, toned look that Taylor Swift has.
Blogilates is a great place to start! Her ‘5 Minute Long Lean Legs‘ routine is practically designed to give you legs like Taylor Swift. Win, win! Plus, Cassie’s infectious smile and positive energy will keep you motivated to continue. I’ve also really loved her 5 Best Thigh Slimming moves.
Of course, working out your entire body is important – but these are just a few suggestions to help tone up your legs for short shorts and mini skirt season! Also, it can’t hurt to set down the ice cream 😉

Sobs I totally agree with you! Taylor’s legs are the actual stuff of dreams, and whereas I’m nowhere near as tall as her, I still want to know what her workout plan is to get those pins. I’ll join you with your crusade to better legs! Ahaha pilates here we come 😀
