Christmas is coming!
And with Christmas comes many holiday traditions, including the release of stunning holiday makeup collections from every brand top to bottom. I initially started this post in pulling together a Holiday 2016 Makeup Release round-up for you (that post is still coming, btw), but I was so ENCHANTED by the beautiful creations in the Burberry Holiday 2016 Festive collection that I simply had to drop everything and share these beauties with you immediately.
When I think about Christmas and holiday makeup, my mind immediately goes to ornate reds and sparkling golds. Lucky for us, Burberry agrees and has created a collection rich with both to decorate our faces during the most wonderful time of the year.
If you weren’t already excited about the holidays coming, I think you will be now. Feast your eyes on the gorgeous Burberry Holiday 2016 makeup collection- and start counting down the days till Christmas with me.
The Burberry Holiday 2016 makeup collection is definitely filled with glitz! The signature packaging has been given a spirited update with a gold finish that has me thinking of the tune Silver and Gold from Rudolph. As for the makeup itself, what caught my eye were the stunning gold eyeshadows! There’s a cream product that looks heavenly for use throughout the year, but for a special update…Burberry also released a gold glitter pigment that will look beautiful atop the cream shadow for a fun party – or just because it’s Christmastime – look. Burberry is known for their great eye palettes and the holiday collection includes a gorgeous neutral eyeshadow quad. This will be perfect if you’re looking a more sultry and traditional style.
Holiday Approved Lips and Finger Tips!
Of course, it wouldn’t be a holiday collection without thinking about the lips. In ruby red and gold, the Burberry Holiday 2016 limited edition lipsticks and glosses look like loads of fun to wear and apply. Accompanying them are are matching nail polishes, that will certainly decorate your manicure for the holidays. Think how beautiful your nails will look when opening your presents? *wink* I haven’t personally heard much about Burberry nail polishes, so let me know if you like the formula. Most specifically, does it chip easily? Those nail polishes are mighty tempting!
As a big red bow on top, the Burberry Holiday 2016 Festive collection unveils a special edition of the Fresh Glow Luminous Foundation. This popular foundation has received rave reviews…everywhere. The problem with the Christmas version? They only offer one Nude shade is the limited edition festive packaging. Bummer! (Do note, the regular foundation has a much wider color selection and actually won the InStyle Beauty Award for Best Foundation for medium and darker skintones.)
I’m Feeling Ready for Christmas!
Needless to say, the Burberry Holiday 2016 collection has truly sparked my Christmas spirit! I’m feeling like I need a piping hot cup of cocoa now and a marathon of Hallmark films. Definitely stay tuned, because I look forward to trying a few of these bits and sharing them here on Dream in Lace.
