Happy Wednesday my fashionable dreamers. Today is the official kick of Milan Fashion Week, which is OHMYGOODNESS my favorite of all the fashion weeks. So, I am quite thrilled about that! Even more thrilling, is that there were some mind-blowing collections that hit the London Fashion Week runways. I know, I didn’t quite keep up with my coverage as well as I did for NYFW, but believe me when I say: the struggle was real!
But there will be no whining in this post! No. Only beautiful, mystical, colorful and brilliant Spring 2015 fashion, featuring some collections you may have guessed and some you may have not. Let’s get started! *drum roll*
BURBERRY SPRING 2015
I did finish a review of the Burberry Collection, (here) so I won’t say much. But this was so gorgeous! I loved the romantic feel. It felt like romance done well, otherwise known as the mark that Marchesa missed by a mile. And I, as always, adored the makeup. It was radiant skin, with a standard classic red lip – and no mascara! Definitely putting a spin on the expected. Gorgeous work!
TOPSHOP UNIQUE SPRING 2015
Another collection I already raved on about, and still am, is the Topshop Unique collection – which featured color, sport and flirt all wrapped into one. It’s the collection I most want to wear – and hope to see a lot of this Spring. Yes! Check out more of the collection here!
PREEN SPRING 2015
You guys, I really LOVED Preen. So much, I daresay it may have been my favorite collection of London Fashion Week as a whole. It has all the fun and color of Topshop, but with the cool and angular prints I love ala Peter Pilotto. Add to the mix, a favorite go-to color and I am sold! Everything about this collection was pulled together perfectly, to the orange accents on the shoes. Well done! Check out my full review of that collection here!
CHRISTOPHER KANE SPRING 2015
One collection I was simply too wrapped up an a marathon of The Originals to post about was Christopher Kane‘s Spring 2015 Collection. (Sorry, Klaus, Marcel and Elijah guys. I couldn’t focus on fashion!) To me, Kane is one of the more underrated designers of the moment. I loved the color palette of this collection so much for spring. We so often see warm colors for spring, so to see a cool tone sea of color was a refreshing twist. Seriously beautiful clothes!
ERDEM SPRING 2015
When it comes to favorites of London Fashion Week, you can bet your bottom dollar that Erdem will more likely than not make their way onto my list, ESPECIALLY for spring. Truth be told, they sort of own the floral print. And yet, while yes we know florals for spring aren’t exactly groundbreaking, they always find a way to take the traditional route and make it completely fresh and new. It’s that wheel they keep reinventing that keeps me coming back everytime! For Erdem’s Spring 2015 Collection, we saw a moody urban jungle come to life.
SEE BY CHLOE 2015
I’m a sucker for polka dots, and so this collection at me at hello. Add in polka-dot hearts and I’m 100% yours! I’m not sure I’ve ever talked about Chloe on Dream in Lace, but yes I am a fan. I love that laid back coolness meets preppy thing she has going on. Pieces are equal parts girly and modern. Definitely love the platform sandals worn with each look of this collection. They say, hey there! 😉
And that is a WRAP on London Fashion Week! We’re now mid-way through Fashion Month. Are you choking on Spring 2015 RTW just yet or do you still have some miles left in you? I certainly hope you do because with Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks on the way, there’s no time for rest!
But before we move on to Milan, definitely take a moment to see my picks for Worst Looks of London Fashion Week, because those will provide some solid comic relief to carry you through the day!
