As spectacular as evening wear is, I was seriously drooling over the daytime looks at Naeem Khan‘s Spring 2015 Collection runway show at New York Fashion Week. Khan has evening wear nailed down, and is master of the ballgown – but cool, sporty daytime looks stole the show. (Which was seriously hard to do considering the seriously beautiful ballgown competition.)
For sportswear, absolutely no attention to fine detail was dismissed. All the fine detail work we’ve come to expect from Naeem Khan found its way onto jumpsuits, proving that no matter what time of day it is, there’s detailed embellishments and embroidering still separate something ordinary from something extraordinary!
I really love navy looks. Navy works beautifully with the bold yellow, but is also classically chic when paired with white.
Outside of navy, the collection had a broad color palette – including vivid emerald greens, bright cherry reds, and of course the signature pinks and purples of spring. After a few spring seasons of late swimming in black, white and neutrals – it’s so great to see color have a comeback on the runway, in a really big way.
And, for real – when can I get my hands on those track pants?
