Take a look inside my Google Analytics and see the ten MOST read blog posts of 2019. That’s right, the year has almost come to an end and I’m celebrating the best of the best.
Hello there, dreamers! Hopefully you’re reading this curled up in fuzzy socks and leggings as I am right now. I have a classic Doris Day film titled By the Light of the Silvery Moon playing on the tv and am about fifteen minutes away from making myself a piping hot cup of hot chocolate. (Trader Joe’s makes vegan marshmallows btw!!!)
2019 has truly been one heck of a year, hasn’t it? It may not have been the best year on the record books for many of us, but it definitely was a whirlwind without a dull moment to be had.
As we inch closer and closer to midnight on New Year’s Eve, I’m finding myself getting more and more excited for the clean slate that a new year and new DECADE promises. Here’s to 2020!
Most Read Blog Posts of 2019?
Before I start hitting the ground running on making next year my best year yet, I have been looking in the rear-view mirror on the last twelve months. Part of that, of course, meant hopping into my Google Analytics to discover just what my most read blog posts of the year actually were.
What I found actually made me chuckle. Dream in Lace originated as a space for me to discuss my love of fashion, but more and more it’s become a beauty HOT SPOT! In fact, only TWO fashion related posts carved their way into the top ten.
As I sit questioning just why fashion is so “out” these days…I have to say, I’m pretty happy with the ten most read blog posts on the list. Each of these most read blog posts were a lot of fun to put together and were hopefully helpful to my readers. In every post I write, my goal is to be helpful in someway…whether it’s cluing you in on the latest at Milan Fashion Week or helping to spare you wasting money on makeup or skincare products that just aren’t up to snuff.
With that said, allow me to introduce you to the TEN most read blog posts of 2019 on Dream in Lace. Maybe you’ve read them before or maybe you’re seeing them for the first time. Enjoy!
10. Best Milan Fashion Week Looks
I did fashion week a touch different in February 2018 and did recaps of the best looks of the week. It was an approach that proved beneficial both to the read and me as it cut through the fat and got right down to business! Milan is my favorite week always so it was great to see it get the most attention.
9. Fall Fashion Trends
In September, I was eager for the fall season to arrive — even though it was still scorching hot outside. As such, I brainstormed fall fashion trends that everyone could start wearing amidst a heatwave.
8. Tati Beauty Textured Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette
I was very excited to see how the Tati Beauty eyeshadow palette would work and apparently I’m not alone, as this was one of my most read blog posts of the year despite only coming out in late November!
7. Ole Henriksen Dark Spot Toner
Early in 2018, I introduced everyone to the Ole Henriksen toner that completely transformed my skin and changed the game in my skincare routine. To this day, I continue to use the toner every night.
6. Maybelline Urban Cover Foundation
Foundation release wise, 2018 was a great year! And this summer I fell head over heals for the Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation. It has SPF 50, lasts all day and holds up against high humidity.
5. ELF New Classics Eyeshadow Palette
Eyeshadow palettes are my weakness, but they often come with a hefty price tag. Fortunately, our friends at ELF Cosmetics stepped in with the New Classics palette that is easily my most-used palette of the year.
4. NARS Fever Dream Palette
For travel, I couldn’t resist this compact palette from NARS. It includes four everyday eyeshadow shades as well as a blush and highlight. Good stuff!
3. How to Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously
In 2018, I sought to share more “career” related posts and this one on managing multiple projects at the same time really resonated well with readers.
2. Loreal Infallible Fresh Wear Foundation Review
Loreal dropped another Infallible foundation in 2019 and you better believe I was right there to check it out!
1. Affordable Anti-Aging Skincare Routine
Last but not least, at the very top of my list of most read blog posts of 2019 is a look at affordable anti-aging skincare. Because fighting wrinkles is something we all care about.
