Hello there, my fellow fashion lover. Now that the autumn season has officially begun, I thought it was high time we start holding discussions on fall fashion.
If you’re like me, you’ve been itching for fall to officially arrive…but are somewhat disheartened that true fall weather likely won’t be around for a while. (Pretty sure it was in the 80s through the entirety of October last year in the Midwest.)
The good news? There are several 2019 fall fashion trends that you can safely start wearing immediately. That’s right. There’s no need to wait around for the temperatures to drop because there a number of ways to modify your warm-weather apparel for the pending fall season.
2019 Fall Fashion Trends to Start Wearing Now
As great as summer is, there’s no question that fashion is at its peak in the fall months. (At least as far as I’m concerned.)
While it’s not quite time to bust those heavy overcoats and tights out just yet, there are a number of way you can start implementing some of the new seasonal trends into your day-to-day looks right now. Be it at the office, casually running errands on the weekends or decking yourself out for a party, I’ve pulled together a selection of trends and styles that I hope will inspire you as you plan your outfits in the weeks ahead!
After scouring the designer runways, I’ve curated a list of the biggest 2019 fall fashion trends and am excited to share with you all the styles I found. In the weeks ahead, I imagine retailers will be releasing more and more of their fall styles so be sure to bookmark this post and check back for updates. Personally, I’m all in for fall!
From an unconventional choice of color for the season to statement accessories and varied textures, there are an assortment of options below that will help you stay on trend no matter what your personal style choice is!
The Cape

Probably one of my top favorite 2019 fall fashion trends you can wear is the cape…or the poncho, depending on labelling. This ones also a relatively classic trend, meaning you can safely purchase items for your wardrobe that you can wear for years on end without worry of them every really going out of style.
Lilac Purple

One of the more unconventional 2019 fall fashion trends to wear now is pastel purple! While traditionally reserved for the spring and summer months, lavender and lilac shades are popping again and again on the women’s fashion front this season. Be it an overcoat or a blouse for the office, this is one cheerful trend that I’m happy to get on board with.
Feathering

Be it on a handbag, a pair of shoes, an accent on a dress or a full overcoat, one thing is for sure: feathers were all over the fall 2019 runways! And because of how lightweight in general they can be, particularly as stylish detailing, there’s simply no reason you can’t go full steam ahead with this fall trend at the moment.
Belted Cinched Waists

Of all the 2019 fall fashion trends to start wearing right now, none are quite as easy as adding a belt to your outfit…whatever you’re wearing. Be it worn over a suit jacket or a dress, belted cinched waists were everywhere on the fall runways and with good reason. This figure flattering look is incredibly easy to pull off, – and quite effective. It’s remarkable how dramatically the small addition of a belt to your outfit can change the entire silhouette of your look. Have fun with this one!
Satin

Okay, now this a trend I could get on board with all year long. There’s something so comfortable and fun about wearing satin, don’t you think? Making a strong comeback, the fall runways were overflowing with sweeping satin gowns and blouses that were calling my name. Be it a gorgeous evening gown or a satin blouse or skirt you can wear to the office, this is one trend I think we’re all going to love.
Statement Hats

Who doesn’t love a good hat? They fabulously add so much to your outfit with minimal work on your part. Not to mention, they also do a bang up job of concealing that you haven’t washed your hair in several days. While you might not be able to part with your sundresses for several weeks now, you can safely add a hat to your outfit when wearing them for quick autumn update!
As a fun bonus, designer hats are surprisingly much more affordable than you might think.
Prep School

Back to School season found its way to the designer runways. That’s right! Preppy, academic fashion is back on the map as one of the top 2019 fall fashion trends. While it might not be for everyone, preppy fashions are perfect for planning your everyday office attire and can be much more comfortable than you think.
The Gold Standard

Frankly, I like the idea of gold in every season but it was definitely one of the 2019 fall fashion trends that kept popping up on the runway. Whether you’re going to go all out with a metallic gold party dress or be a little more understated with gold accent details on your accessories, this is one trend I think we can enjoy at every level.
Thank you so much for reading! I hope this review of the fall trends provided some inspiration for you as we enter the new season. xo
