Join me on a trip to one of my childhood parks, where I model the most DARLING collared bunny dress from the Victoria Beckham Target collection. Perfect for spring!
A prim, collared dress is always a good idea – but add some adorable bunnies and you’re REALLY talking!
When I first saw this Victoria Beckham for Target collared dress — immediately childhood memories of Peter Cottontail came rushing back. Merrily, my mom, sister and I would sing aloud about Peter Cottontail joyously hopping down the bunny trail. Now that I’m fully grown, it’s springtime memories like those that make me really appreciate the magical days of my youth and jump at any opportunity to keep them alive. Adult me might not be singing nursery rhymes all too often, but I’m definitely not one to pass up the opportunity to wear a perfectly crisp collared dress, adorned with charming bunnies. Yes, please!
In case you missed it, I shared a larger post on the Victoria Beckham Target collection, here. The collection hit Target stores on April 9th to rave reviews and I simply had to get my hands on a couple of pieces. Over the weekend I swung by my local Target and was so pleased to find that many looks were still available in the store to try on and after one glimpse in the mirror, I KNEW this dress had to be mine.
With the sun shining, my mom and I headed out to take some pictures of my adorable Victoria Beckham Target dress. The scene? One of the local parks of my childhood, where I have memories of climbing all over the playground, running the trails in cross country practice (ugh) and bringing the kiddos to play at when I spent a lot of time babysitting families in the neighborhood next door.
More and more, I learn the importance of keeping our childhood spirit alive and it was fitting to revisit a childhood park with my mom – decked out in my new bunny dress. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and we enjoyed strolling through the park, snapping pictures by the ponds and admiring all the new spring blooms.
While of course the focal point of this outfit IS the charming collar on the Victoria Beckham for Target dress, I simply have to gush for a minute over the Who What Wear shoes I’m wearing.
Who What Wear Shoes for the Win!
I think I have a thing for the Who What Wear for Target collection, seriously. One of my favorite posts of 2016 was this one where I modeled a killer pair of velvet booties from their collection and over the weekend I had a lot of fun perusing the spring line at Target. Yes, I did pick up some blouses and a dress – but I simply couldn’t ignore these sandals! Off the feet, I wasn’t quite sure but as soon as I stepped into them in the dressing room – I was sold.
With a block 2 inch heal, they’re very comfortable and easy to wear. The best part, though? How flattering they are! The criss-cross straps at the ankles are very flattering on the foot and add a bit of polish.
Target Style is On Point
Quite honestly, I’m AMAZED by the quality of the spring collections at Target this season. With Victoria Beckham, Who What Wear and great designs from brands like Merona, Target Style is DEFINITELY upping their game.
Over the last few weeks, I’ve spent time perusing all the new collections from brand favorites like J.Crew, Ann Taylor, Topshop and so on – but honestly, it was my weekend trip to Target that impressed me the most. Who knew!
Have you picked up anything from Target this season? If you haven’t, I highly suggest you stop in to browse all of their great new items. From sundresses, to floral and bell-sleeve blouses, smart cropped trousers and even jumpsuits and rompers – there’s virtually something for everyone. To boot, both the Who What Wear and Victoria Beckham Target collections come in traditional AND plus-sizes, making affordable stylish clothes available to women of all shapes and sizes. 🙂
After finishing up our photoshoot at the park, mom and I did a little shopping at the mall before stopping for a veggie burger at a local tavern. Nothing like greasy waffle fries to round out the weekend, right? But in a nutshell, I received compliments on the dress everywhere we went – especially on the collar. I mean, bunnies? Adorable.
It’s been a very relaxing but productive weekend for me, which is truly just what I needed after a busy work week. My schedule for the coming week is also pretty jam-packed! We have a big event at work and several nights this week, I’ll be volunteering at my local PBS station’s telethon – which is always a complete blast! I started doing that a couple years back and sign up every chance I get to help out. Not only do I get to help raise money for our beloved PBS, I also have the chance to meet all sorts of great people from around the city. On Tuesday, I’m supposedly getting lots more screen time in a semi ‘Vana White’ role. I guess I’ll need to brush up on my camera skills for that, ha!
Of course, thank you so much for reading and I really hope you enjoyed seeing one of the Victoria Beckham Target dresses in action. If you’ve picked up anything from the line, I’d absolutely love to hear what you think!
