My fall outfit with New York and Company shoes — that are my new favorite thing!
Let’s talk a bit about my shopping history.
I think I was in the eight grade when I first discovered New York and Company and since, my wardrobe has grown to include hundreds of items from them…with no end in sight. It all started with an appreciation for their tall pants. As a tall girl, I was thrilled to discover that they carry longs in-store and not just online. From there, I built a wardrobe of pants that covered everything from jeans, to trousers to yoga pants and even *cringe* velour pantsuits. (That was a very dark time for us all – that I hope we never revisit.)
While it was their long pants that attracted me to New York and Company, my NY&Co wardrobe quickly grew to dress me literally from head to toe. Trying virtually everything you can imagine, I fell in love with dresses, blouses, winter overcoats and their accessory line. From sunglasses and jewelry, to belts and handbags: I saw and tried it all. Or, so I thought.
As it turns out: I have been seriously neglecting NY and Company shoes.
How I overlooked their growing line of amazing shoes is beyond me, but this month I rectified the situation by snatching up stylish cutout booties and a pair of ankle-strap sandals on the fly. Both pairs of shoes are perfect for this time of year, when we’re transitioning into fall but the high is yet to drop below 65. I am so excited by my discovery of NY and Company shoes that I simply had to share them with you today in a fall outfit post.
It might sound dramatic: but I feel it is my civic duty to share these shoes with the world. So, share I shall!
If you’re looking to have a lot of fun wearing a pair of shoes, I direct your attention to these adorable NY and Company peep-toe ankle booties with a stiletto. It’s a real shame that these came into my life a week or so after NYFW ended, because I can only imagine how much fun these would have been to wear when strutting from show to show.
As if the cutouts and the peep-toe factor aren’t enough, the adorableness is capped off with a tassel on each heal. Cuteness, overload. The booties also come in a brown, but being a sucker for purple tones and eager to embrace the fall season…I couldn’t pass up the true burgundy shade. I’ll admit, they may not be the most comfortable shoes in the world. But, when they’re this cute – who cares?
In the midst of an Indian summer, these faux-leather ankle-strap sandals are perfect for transitioning into fall. They’re such a versatile look that will work with just about any outfit, even once the weather turns. No need to banish these to the back of your closet over winter! They truly will look just as great with a good pair of tights. Always remember, the basics are good all year-round!
I’m also happy to report that the sandals are miraculously comfortable. The ankle strap and the block heal work together in delivering a user friendly shoe to jump around in all day. They’re super roomy and have lots of flexibility with the heal strap for added comfort.
A WONDERFUL thing about NY and Company shoes that you should definitely take note of: they are made with faux-leather. As I aim to live a cruelty-free existence, this is a big plus. So, if you too are on the hunt for vegan approved shoes, definitely keep New York and Company in mind.
Of course, also keep them in mind if you’re on the hunt in general for adorable, stylish and affordable shoes that are super fun to wear and will garner you loads of compliments. (Thank goodness I’ve evolved past the velour tracksuits to cute shoes, right? *wink*)
If you’re interested in these NY and Company shoes, definitely act quickly because they’re currently on-sale and the weather is absolutely perfect for them. Happy strutting!
