I’ve been a very bad fashion girl. Amidst the bustle of Christmas madness, I’ve completely neglected to focus in on the Pre-Fall 2016 season. Today, that comes to an end – as I raise a glass to celebrate Delpozo creative director Josep Font, for leading the Spanish brand into the future with their very first Pre-Fall collection.
When I think Delpozo, three things come to mind: color, shape and really great coats.
And so, it’s no surprise that Delpozo’s Pre-Fall debut encompasses all three. Featuring electric colors, balloon shapes and enlarged floral graphic prints and embellishments, it was a vivid collection that blasted straight past demure and into cutting edge territory. It’s a lively collection of Raf Simons proportions, never straying away from a bold statement while miraculously holding onto its femininity.
Truthfully, it’s a very exciting time in fashion right now – as the rule books been burned and forgotten, leaving room for creativity to run wild. And there’s no doubt Josep Font’s background in architecture is truly taking flight at Delpozo, with exaggerated silhouettes and crisp colors. Who better to be at the lead than a true Captain of design?
From top to bottom, each piece of Delpozo’s Pre-Fall 2016 collection tells the narrative of a brand emerging into mega-fame. You can see Delpozo picking up speed with each collection since Font’s term as creative director began in 2011. He’s completely reinvented the brand on a global scale, and with collections as solid as this – its easy to see why.
To me, the best thing about Delpozo is the level of control within each collection. It’s encouraging for the longevity of the brand, and the future of New York Fashion Week. If you’d like to learn more about Delpozo, I highly suggest your take a browse around their website here – because they’re becoming a force on the red carpet.

Ooh I love love love this collection – Delpozo isn’t a brand I’ve ever paid much attention to, but maybe I’m missing out! That mega scarf is amazing, love all the knitted and chiffon pieces!
