While we all sit around waiting for award season to officially begin, let’s peruse the red carpet madness of the 2015 American Music Awards. From Gigi Hadid, to Justin Beiber…it happened!
Happy almost Thanksgiving, dreamers. While we wait for our extended holiday weekend, the 2015 American Music Awards happened and I sat with a glass of Cabernet, primed to take on the red carpet. Oh sure, the AMAs are not a big draw for major fashion moments…and despite having the most nominations, Taylor Swift was sadly no where in sight…but I think hey! It’s one more red carpet closer to the Golden Globes, and we should celebrate that with a red carpet roundup!
No, there was no TayTay – but the 2015 AMA red carpet DID feature some pretty big fashion shocks. The biggest moment goes to Gwen Stefani who literally BLEW my mind when she showed up looking a bit out of sorts in a bizarre black number, breaking her longtime winning streak. All eyes were also on Selena Gomez, as she took to the red carpet and stage to promote her latest album Revival. For her red carpet look, she dug into the archives of Givenchy with a slinky Spring 2014 ruby red number.
Of course, Kylie and Kendall Jenner were in attendance – despite no musical abilities. And, Justin Beiber paid tribute to Kurt Cobain with a vintage Nirvana t-shirt. It was a mishmash of sorts on the red carpet, with everyone from Winnie Cooper from The Wonder Years, to Nick Jonas. Oh boy! Get yourself a snack and let’s review the 2015 AMA red carpet together!

While I am still stunned that Gwen Stefani was such an odd disappointment, I have to declare Gigi Hadid as the true highlight of the night. Leave it to a Scandinavian supermodel to steal the show! It was an interesting red carpet though, if only for the wide variety of lesser known designers.
