Nothing screams the perfect Sunday afternoon like a new dazzling collection from Alexander McQueen. For Spring/Summer 2016, creative director Sarah Burton led an ethereal troop down the runway of Paris Fashion Week, and the results are dazzling!
Not since Oscar de la Renta at New York Fashion Week has a Spring 2016 collection really took a punch at glamour this season on the runway. Oh sure, there are cool looks aplenty with micro minis and shift dresses– but not a whole lot of the dramatic gowns we long to OOH and AHH at on the runway and red carpet. Cut to Alexander McQueen‘s Spring 2016 Collection, delivering their signature theatrics with grace as romantic goddesses floated down the runway in gowns spilling over with lace and cascading ruffles.
I got so excited watching the runway video that I just HAD to stop everything and showcase my favorite looks on Dream in Lace. I mean, gosh – Sarah Burton has really outdone herself with this collection. It’s the perfect merger of classic romance and modern edge. McQueen, after all, is the master of adding spice to demure, and this season is no disappointment.
