Well guys, London Fashion Week came and went in a blur – as it always does. I confess, for LFW, my fingers and eyes tend to take a bit of a “snooze”. It’s an exercise of saving their energy for the dramatic inertia Milan brings us and the creme de la creme of Paris Fashion Week. And so, I do apologize that the extent of my LFW Spring/Summer 2016 runway coverage is a “best” post – but truly, at the very least, the 10 looks really are amazing!
Honestly though, does anyone else feel like for the past month or so – they’re constantly working from behind? It’s like I can’t turn off my alarm in the morning without being immediately clubbed in the head with 10 things I didn’t manage to get done the day before. Cut-to me scurrying out the door in a panic at the beginning of the day and in a giant heap at its end. And so, while I didn’t get any collection reviews of London Fashion Week done, I did manage to get my bearings at the end of a long day whilst browsing the daily runway collections and sipping on a chilled vodka tonic with lime. Oh, yes. It’s the simple things in life that make me most happy.
In general, London Fashion Week felt a bit upside down for me this season. The Spring/Summer 2016 collections I expected to love were somewhat disappointing, and some I thought would be just good — had some pretty remarkable looks. Such as, Anthony Vaccarello‘s latest creations for Versus Versace and Jonathan Saunders lively and colorful collection. Needless to say, there are some favorites that immediately SCREAM out-loud for a major red carpet moment down the line. Oh, yes indeed.
On that note, I’m off to take a bit of a *snooze* again as I finish The Theory of Everything, which I’m finally getting around to watching and absolutely adore. I have cultivated a “worst looks” of London Fashion Week list, but I think I’ll save the snarking for another day.
Do tell me, if there is a collection from LFW that you’d like to see reviewed – just let me know. Some things are just wasting away in my Inbox until I have time to dig through them this weekend. Let’s just keep on keeping on though, because Milan Fashion Week is upon us and Day 1 has already delivered a boat-load of delights!
Thank you so much for reading and please, let me know YOUR favorite runway look from London this season!
