When approaching the collection, the Irish designer stayed true to what we’ve come to know and love from her work. Ethereal romanticism that never shies away from lavish, at times doll-like, detailing. And as far as designer collaborations go, the HM Simone Rocha collection really does cover all the bases!
From embellished headbands to faux-pearl oxfords, its quite literally a collection you can wear from head to toe. In between, Rocha creates a nice balance of streetwear styles for around town (or even to the office) and ladylike dresses and overcoats that are perfect for whatever special occasions line your social calendars this spring.
And hey, there’s even a backpack — which is honestly something I DID NOT see coming.
VERSATILE LAYERING PIECES
Perhaps the best part of the HM Simone Rocha collection, though, is its versatility.
The fanciful tulle blouses and dresses are actually smart layering pieces that can be styled over silk-blend dresses as seen in the lookbook or atop any other garment hanging out in your wardrobe. This is a really nice feature of Rocha’s approach to design in general, as these signature tulle pieces of hers can take on many lifeforms. A piece can be worn over a prim, lady-like blouse or styled with a graphic tee and even a pair of joggers for an altogether different look and feel.
