Meet the best MFW runway looks of the Fall 2020 season!
The runway train of fashion week continues! Following London, our eyes were directed to the Italian runways of Milan Fashion Week where everyone from Gucci to Prada to Versace and Bottega Veneta was serving up some LOOKS for the fall 2020 season.
Generally speaking, I have to confess that Milan Fashion Week is the one that always resonates the most with me out of all the major fashion week destinations. The Italian runways bring such DRAMA to the fashion scene and the scope of what we see from the Italian designers gets more and more vast each season. I always find myself drooling with envy and taking notes over the luxe styling tips.
Best MFW Runway Looks
After sharing the best of New York and London fashion weeks, you had to know I’d be popping in to share the very best MFW runway looks as well. Although, I confess, it did take me a few extra days for this post to see the light of day! Things kicked so quickly into high gear in Paris with one great fashion collection after the next hitting the runway and it took some serious effort to focus my fashion crazed mine long enough to refine my list of 80+ favorite looks from Milan.
Don’t worry. I know you don’t want to sit here scrolling through 80 looks. Ain’t nobody got time for that! (Truly. Nobody has time for that.)
Following some deep deliberation, I came out with 21 of the best MFW runway looks that I think very nicely represent the full spectrum of the week’s festivities! From posh suiting and delicate layers to fringe happenings and fierceness at Versace, it was a Milan’s fashion scene is vibrant and has something for everyone. Hats off to everyone for really bringing it this season and letting the show go one even amidst the coronavirus outbreak in Milan.
Now, get cozy and enjoy a review of Milan Fashion Week highlights below:
Alberta Ferretti Fall 2020 Collection
Valentine’s Day 2021, sorted!
BOSS Fall 2020 Collection
Given my love of rusted orange, it’s not surprise to find BOSS among this collection best MFW runway looks. The entire Fall 2020 collection was overflowing with it! Add in a dash of navy and a fringe handbag to match? Now that’s a LOOK!
Bottega Veneta Fall 2020 Collection
Movement is a TREND for fall, in all variations. Bottega Veneta jumped aboard the bandwagon with a delightful series of full-length skirts that have my longing for a trip to the car wash. The idea of wearing one under a long cardigan-sweater dress? Well that’s just fun.
Ermanno Scervino Fall 2020 Collection
Because we all love good suiting, don’t we? Extra points for the shorts and sparkle!
Etro Fall 2020 Collection
For those ultra chic days on the prairie.
Fendi Fall 2020 Collection
I was admittedly a bit underwhelmed by Fendi this season – that is until Kaia Gerber appeared in this show-stopping finale look. Take note of the tinsel fringe — an emerging big trend for fall!
Giorgio Armani Fall 2020 Collection
Bedazzled from head to toe? Always a good idea.
Gucci Fall 2020 Collection
Alessandro Michele designed a whole series of monstrous Western ballgowns that I definitely did not rank among my best MFW runway looks of the season. This more dialed back look, however? Yes. And it makes me wish Michele went understated more often.
Jil Sander Fall 2020 Collection
A pantsuit so great you’ll be reporting for duty on your off days.
Jil Sander Fall 2020 Collection
Jil Sander’s creative director Lucie Meier worked alongside Raf Simons during his tenure at Dior and you can no doubt see that history brimming under the surface in her work at Jil Sander. Absolutely beautiful and unapologetically feminine.
Max Mara 2020 Collection
As is customary, it wouldn’t be a list of the best MFW runway looks without featuring a cozy overcoat from Max Mara.
Moschino Fall 2020 Collection
*Pegs this for a Met Gala appearance – hopefully*
Moschino Fall 2020 Collection
Bless Jeremy Scott for always having fun with fashion and always delivering something new. This collection will really play well when you want to reserve your personal space!
No. 21 Fall 2020 Collection
Meet the Emerald City, in dress form.
Ports 1961 2020 Collection
Who doesn’t LOVE a good caftan?
Ports 1961 Fall 2020 Collection
The perfect work dress.
Prada Fall 2020 Collection
As movement continues to be a big trend on the fashion scene, Prada unveiled strappy skirts that are undeniably sporty and cute.
Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2020 Collection
Sweater dresses are big for Fall 2020, which is a great thing given how incredibly comfortable (and easy to wear) they are. I’d like this in a number of colors, thanks!
Sportsmax Fall 2020 Collection
A color spectrum of velvet has been all over the Fall 2020 runways. This patchwork velvet blazer and skirt combo at Sportsmax is another in a series of great looks to have your eye on for fall.
Versace Fall 2020 Collection
A chainmail gown with added layered interest? I’ll take it!
Versace Fall 2020 Collection
For those days when you really want everyone at work to know who’s boss.
