If my thermometer is correct, I’d say our tanning days are behind us. Gone are the days of summer, and straight ahead is frigid winter – and you’d have to be out of your mind to trot outside in a bikini for some ‘sun’. Earlier this year, I discovered NKD SKN – and since? My albino days are behind me. There are two key things I really love about the brand. 1, their products are easy to use. 2, they don’t leave you looking like an oompa-loompa. Thing is, I’m not the type of person to want to paint myself with tan. BUT, I am the type of person that likes a little bit of color so I don’t blind myself when I look at my legs.
That’s where NKD SKN comes in perfectly.
I set aside my love of their gradual tan, daily tanning lotion (here), to try out their liquid tan. I was hesitant, because “liquid tan” kind of put my nerves on edge. Would I look silly? Would it really smell? What if it comes out really streaky? I’m not good at this tanning thing, and it seemed a step too advance for my novice skills.
Turns out though, it was pretty much a breeze. And no, I didn’t smell like a chemical explosion.
Applied on exfoliated skin with a tanning mitt, I effortlessly brushed this onto my legs and arms and immediately saw a difference. On one application, I was left with ‘sun-kissed’ skin, that to me is perfect. Could I go darker with a second coat? Of course! Is one application enough to give yourself a bit of color on your bare legs? Absolutely.
