It was only last year when I picked up my first bag from Michael Kors, and like many before me, I fell immediately in love with the timeless coolness of his designs. So when celebrating my birthday recently, I was thrilled to receive a new addition to my Michael Kors purse family – in the form of the ultimate little black crossbody. Reading my mind, my stylish and lovely grandmother gifted me the black & gold chained crossbody I’ve been craving in my life.
I’m sure all ladies can agree, carrying a full purse around all day and night is a true labor of love. On more than one occasion now I’ve trekked around town cursing my ball and chain purse with every move. They’re bulky and get in the way. Between your coat and bag, one starts to feel like an oversized load when navigating a crowd. Don’t even get me started on the awkward balancing act that happens when trying to carry say a coffee, shopping bags and a cellphone. We’ve all been there and it’s seriously no fun.
To me, less is the new more and being able to bring only the essentials with me WHILE gaining full use of my hands seems like a true Miracle on 34th street. Clutches are cute but come with their own set of problems. I’m quite happy to have my new crossbody friend from Michael Kors to carry everything I need and stay entirely out of the way until I need it.
Use of my hands! Truly, the perfect gift! Thank you Grandma 🙂

can you please post some more pics of the bag – such as interior, empty and full, on you etc so i can see how it looks in use. im contemplating buying the watermelon one but cant find many pics on this! i saw someone had the silver one with silver hw and it was so beautiful it looked pristine. im not really a fan of gold.

Happy Belated Birthday (for when it was). It’s a nice bag but MK is so expensive. I was on amazon the other day and they linked me to the MK watches and I damn near fell off my bed! I guess it’s nice though if you can afford it 🙂
My sister is obsessed with Michael Kors bags but unlike your grandma, I don’t think I could part with that much money to ever buy her one. Plus I don’t even talk to her anyway so LOL. No Michael Kors for her!
