It’s that time of year again! Time to round up all the red carpet looks of the Golden Globes and pick the top 10 WORST of the night! From pop stars, to actors, to…well, what is Heidi Klum exactly these days? Let’s go!
Amanda Peet in Alexander McQueen
I’m very sorry, but looking like you survived a shipwreck is not a good look.
Caitriona Balfe in Alexander McQueen
Another not so good look from Alexander McQueen, except instead of surviving a shipwreck – Caitriona looks like she’s surviving life at a brothel. (Which, hey – might not be such a bad thing?)
Heidi Klum in Marchesa
Shag h*g. Know what I mean?
Kate Hudson in Michael Kors
As divine as Kate’s physique is, I think this lacks a lot of vision.
Katy Perry in Prada
Katy Perry kept referring to swimming in a new pool of fish at the Golden Globes. Perhaps this wasn’t the way to get off on the best foot with them?
Maura Tierney in Elizabeth Kennedy
As much as I love and adore Maura Tierney and her charming portrayal of Helen on The Affair (which earned her a Globe!)…I’m afraid this is pretty sad and confusing. What’s going on with that necklace and why is she wearing concealer on her lips? Helen would not stand for this!
Melissa McCarthy
I’m actually speechless here.
Natalie Dormer in J.Mendel
Natalie Dormer looks like she’s auditioning for a part in American Horror Story, season six.
Regina King in Krikor Jabotian
I love the depth and texture of the gown, and there’s no mistaking a lot of craftsmanship went into this. I’m just not sure all the hard work is paying off. I might like this more if that level of detail was contained to the neckline? The shoes—and cape—aren’t doing her any favors, either.
Rooney Mara in Alexander McQueen
Poor Rooney Mara scarcely escaped a shipwreck and still managed to make it to the Golden Globes on time. That girl has commitment! Can we ribbon for her troubles?
Well, those are my least favorite looks of the night. It’s always interesting when you put these lists together because you find yourself starting to loathe looks you thought you’d like, and then start to really love things you thought weren’t working initially. If you have a “Worst Dressed” list of your own, please share with me! I’m always eager to see the opinions of others!
Also, in case you missed it, here is my Best Dressed List – featuring the top 10 looks of the night.
Wishing you a fabulous week! Stay tuned because I have an exciting giveaway coming out on Tuesday. And, of course, I’m already looking forward to dishing about the red carpet looks at next weekend’s Critic’s Choice Awards. Tis’ the season, after all!
