We are in a new era for foundation and Lady Gaga is the latest to throw her hat in the ring.
The Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech foundation embraces the desire for makeup that cares for the complexion. And boy am I HERE for this trend and hopefully it’s one that’s here to stay!
As long as we’re being honest (which I always am), I’ll admit when the brand launched two years ago I was underwhelmed – despite my love for Lady Gaga. It felt dated and the partnership with Amazon was odd. But this new chapter with products that use clean, skin-loving ingredients is more in line with the “now” and the Gaga of today.
And I have to give props to the marketing team!
The weeks of promo for the foundation with nothing but a vague “coming soon” created a strong sense of anticipation. I don’t think I’ve looked forward to a new product’s release so much this year and immediately snatched up a bottle – along with the new blurring loose setting powder – to give it a try.

GREAT, FUNCTIONAL PACKAGING
It’s very rare where I make mention on a foundation’s packaging as they so often follow the standard glass bottle and pump approach — which Haus Labs did do here as well. But what I really love about the Skin Tech foundation‘s bottle is it’s shape and how well it fits in the palm of your hand. Does that change how the product performs? No, but I quite like that attention to detail.
SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT ON THE SKIN

First and foremost, I have to rave about how lightweight the product is. Even after 12 hours it feels natural and undetectable on the skin. When examining closely in the mirror throughout the day, I’m also super impressed at how well it stays together without breaking up or settling heavily into pores.
MEDIUM, BUILDABLE AND RADIANT COVERAGE
Essentially the Skin Tech foundation is good skin in a bottle. It provides nice coverage that still allows natural features like freckles or moles to shine through but is lightweight enough that it builds easily where needed. The radiant finish gives a healthy glow to your complexion like you’re well-rested and remembering to take your daily vitamins — even if you’re not really.
LONG, 12+ HOUR WEAR TIME
I am someone who can never be fussed to do touchups throughout the day so a long-wearing foundation is an absolute must! I manage to get at least twelve hours of wear from the Skin Tech foundation without noticing any major breakdown in coverage or heavy feeling on the skin. Hallelujah!
HAUS LABS BIO BLURRING POWDER
Testing a new foundation is always good fun but a powder? That might not make the headlines quite as much! Nonetheless, I picked up the Haus Labs Bio Blurring powder and have been LOVING the way it holds product in place but also creates a soft, filter-like quality to the skin.

LIGHTWEIGHT AND SMOOTH
Well, hello! This is certainly one of the finest and most lightweight loose powders I’ve ever tried. It’s virtually weightless but has such a lovely, smooth appearance that’s flattering and lasts well throughout the day.
NON-CAKEY
Probably the area powders are most prone to turn sour is when they create a cakiness to the skin. Not only is it unappealing in appearance but it’s also uncomfortable. Through testing atop multiple foundations, I’m happy to say across the board the Bio Blurring powder smooths the skin and does not cake or exaggerate the appearance of pores and fine lines.
Excellent Packaging Design
I really love that the Haus Labs team didn’t go the sifter route we so commonly see for the powder. Instead there’s a cushion where you can lightly press your brush or sponge to pick up product. It’s a great way to reduce mess but also avoid spilling powder everywhere on accident as you really do have to *press* for product to come out.

Well, folks! We have a proud first. In several years of reviewing makeup products on Dreaminlace, I’ve yet to land upon a foundation/powder release where both products get a solid A from me. Usually one will be better than the other but I am equally in love with the Haus Labs Skin Tech foundation and the Bio-Blurring powder. The two work beautiful separately but impeccably together.
