I told myself I was going to do some really awesome things this week. But…short of working a lot, long walks and sleeping…it wasn’t all that much of an exciting week. There’s definitely a ratio between productivity and fun. Somehow, when my productivity levels are sky high, my fun levels plummet. But my To Do list has shrunk dramatically this week! Both at and away from work. And sure, there were some impromptu Harry Potter runs and a discovery of a new book obsession to help me along the way. (*psst* Read The Darkest Minds asap!)
Which brings me to my obnoxious reading goals over the next couple of weeks.
I’ve talked about my pathetic e-book hoarding problem, and my mission to read all unfinished/unread eBooks clogging up my iPad this summer. (post here) But, as though 25 books wasn’t already an ambitious goal: I’ve decided to participate in not one, but two Readathons over the next two weeks. Fortunately, they do somewhat overlap. But, from July 14th – July 26th I’ll be reading mass books and I encourage anyone to try to read a lot over the next couple weeks too!
I’m trying to leave open what I will read, but I am basically on a one-woman mission to finally finish Endless Love (which is absolutely not a sweet love story at all) and to finish The Mortal Instruments series with Heavenly Fire. Not going to lie, I’m kind of excited to leave that world behind. I also shall read Herman Koch’s latest Summer House with Swimming Pool because my recent review of The Dinner awarded me the opportunity to read that and of course I couldn’t say no because of how incredible juicy his writing is.
Other than that. Who knows! If you’re interested in joining the readathon madness, follow me on GoodReads. And let me know if you’re doing it too so we can cheer each other on! #MoralSupport
For now, I’m off to enjoy the weekend and what’s left of my freedom before I become chained to my books. I’ll see you again on Monday with a beauty review!
