Few things I enjoy in life as much as I discovering new, talented designers. Enter Methodology, based out of Hong Kong with Gloria Tsui at the reigns. They present an innovative, cool capsule collection with so much overt coolness I can’t even take it! Browsing WowCracy recently I discovered this new talent and was blown away at the sharpness of this collection, with a vision so precise I think I have paper cuts.
To design garments with unusual 3D shape, which can be worn more than one way..
…is what inspires Methodology. It’s a cool way to think of clothes. Adapting and combining shapes to build new shapes. An every changing silhouette. The collection is made by collecting and mixing various materials and structures, to play with shapes. As you see, no piece is just one thing. Nor is any article one shape. Clothes with personality and, really, a mind of their own.
They say fashion is ‘art you live your life in.’ This is fashion where your life dictates art’s form. How you live and move transforms the clothes into something else. It’s poetic really.
