Meadham Kirchhoff is always one to explore dainty, and often kitschy fashion. Tuesday at London Fashion Week the runway became a cartoon vision as Rainbow-bright boots and ensembles floated down the runway to the beat of their own drum. It’s off the cuff and unexpected. Probably, okay definitely, not everyone’s cup of tea…but can we condemn it? Is campy fashion fun spirited or just whack?
Vanity Fair put this to the test recently in the realm of television, exploring shows like True Blood who have a flair for camp. But what about on the runway? Is this an acceptable form of expression? Or, is it just plain goofy?
