The proof is in the eyelashes. Meet YSL’s Baby Doll mascara and learn just what it can do for YOU!
Today I want to talk about Yves Saint Laurent, not in the fashion sense, but in a mascara sense. The Yves Saint Laurent Volume Effet Faux Cils Baby Doll Mascara, to be precise. (Yes, that name is a mouthful!) I’ve had my eye on this mascara for a while now as I have heard countless rave reviews from everyone, to those leaving online reviews on Sephora.com, to YouTube beauty gurus to the blogosphere. This will sound crazy, but I even saw it mentioned in my Chatmeter Listings Management Software, that has nothing to do with beauty products in general, just goes to show how the level on interest going here! People seem to really LOVE this Baby Doll mascara and I just had to get my hands eyed on it.
The verdict? Believe the hype. The YSL Baby Doll mascara is, in a nutshell, incredible!
When I first saw this wand I thought ‘Hmm, that’s small…’ with skepticism and a furrowed brow, because I’ve come to associating volumizing mascaras with a full wand. At first application though, I immediately began singing a different two. What I makes the Baby Doll mascara brush so incredible is the way it hugs and grips hold of your lashes, guiding each lash up and out like no one’s business. Honestly, I don’t know squat about the physics or chemistry of how the mascara works, but it manages to lengthen and separate your eyelashes like no mascara I’ve used before.
The YSL Baby Doll mascara formula is on the wet side which is encouraging, but it does turn pretty dry over time. A lot of folks see this as a downside, but I manage to get essentially the same results when using the mascara wet or dry so I don’t really take offense to that. What definitely stands out to me about the formula though is that you can truly pile the Baby Doll mascara on without any fear of clumping. I’ve even used this on top of dried mascara when taking a day look into night time and ran into absolutely no trouble. Most of us don’t do coat after coat of mascara for the day time, so when we want to pump those lashes up at night…the Baby Doll mascara does the job beautifully.
Does it Flake or Smudge? No! I’ve had no absolutely no issues with flaking or smudging of the Baby Doll mascara.
Needless to say, I find YSL’s Baby Doll mascara to be a strong winner across the board. The product is strong, the packaging is great, it’s a life-saver when it comes to combating clumped eyelashes. What’s not to love? Definitely add this to your shopping list to pickup for yourself or a friend or loved one that you think would appreciate the gift of perfect eyelashes!
